amazon MEE Pinnacle P2 reviews
Mee Audio spent a lot of money and time designing the first pair of Pinnacle P1 headphones, and of course receiving a lot of praise from the community. And so there is no excuse not to use the P2 again. The P2 is made of plastic instead of aluminum scratched to reduce costs, but the gliders, grooves are made similar to P1. Therefore, the ability to fit, comfortable listening is not reduced.
Headphones still use the MMCX head as mentioned above, the P2 wire looks not as good as the old one, but it is generally good enough. The microphone is arranged quite reasonable, but unfortunately only one button to receive calls and missing two volume switch.
The jack and housing, not made of metal, but plastic, but worked pretty good enough to look long enough.

One of the reasons that users have difficulty accessing the P1 beyond the premium price is the ability to mix handsets. The earphones are small in size, but recommended for high-end DAC or DAC / Amp speakers. Meanwhile, mid-range users will use headphones at that price range with low-end or mid-range music players, or even phones. So P1 has a very good sound quality, but often sibalance, incomplete sound with low level source. With the P2 not only lower prices, but also lower impedance, higher sensitivity should be easier to use with portable music source.
With the quality of the sound, the company has also refined P2’s sound quality to suit more people. P2’s sound retains the full-scale balance as P1, but has been warmed up quite a lot, with the bass boost. The bass of the P1 is not much, as well as slightly hard to pull out. In the introduction to the P1, I had to use the DX80, a pretty high-end player to get the full P1 bass. With P2, the bass volume has been added to make the sound easier for the majority of users. Bass can not be as high as its M-rated or low-level X earbuds, but is still above average, ready to play pop or dance. Bass down just deep enough, sub bass also roll off but not too soon. Drum sounds are generally softer than the P1, giving a fuller feeling. Try with Amber Rubarth’s Drop of Paint, drum beat down just enough hard, fast speed should hit down then not drag the tail too long. Mid bass is very well controlled so only play in the middle of the head, no resonance causing headaches. P2 is not a V-shape earphone, but it can not satisfy bass-head users like the M6, M7, but very reasonable to hear any music that is not to be disappointed.
The mid-range Pinnacle, formerly P1 and now P2 is very different from the M and X series. While the M6, M7, and X5 headphones are mid-dark and slightly lacking in mid-range, the Pinnacle has a pretty mid-range, with high mid range and no roll off. The voice of Alison Krauss in Could you lie is progressing, emerging on the music. Mid of the P2 is slightly thinner than the other pair of earphones in the lower, but the sound is quite plentiful so there is no sense of sharp and cold. The high mid is not much worse than the P1, but is well controlled so the phenomenon of sibalance is very rare. Try with Amber Rubarth’s When wil the spring, this singer’s voice is just right, but also the sweet and smooth, airy is just right. Point of interest Pinnacle is the detail in the mid range. The midrange is not as thick as the bass lines of the company should always keep the distance with each other. The guitar chops in Rebecca Pedgeon’s Spanish Harlem did not encroach on the vocals, so every single minute of the song was clear. The detail of the instruments can not reach the separate, but also the consistency of the sound components in a song.
The high pitch of the P1 is made very high, even creating sibalance. For those who are treble-head, the cord is a real gift, but for those who prefer a lightweight, sharper sound, they still have a choice of low and midrange earphones. To P2, it retains some of the strengths of the P2 treble, but makes it a more comfortable, easier listening experience. Treble up is still very high, rarely occur roll off at low frequencies. The difference is that the position of the treble has been slightly backward, the way to play treble less metal need to avoid sibalance easier. In certain cases, sibalance is still present, but rarely happens and once it is very mild it is at an acceptable level.
The most favorite part of Pinnacle P1 and now P2 is the soundtage. The soundtage of this line is really superior to that of low-level earphones, which is well arranged in sound quality, the horizontal sound is not bad at all. However, the point that P2 is worse than his P1 is located in detail. In general, the detail of the P2 is very respectable, listeners hear enough small sounds, the details are difficult to hear in the music. But as a pair of lower-cost headsets, for simpler pairing, P2 still can not equal P1 in this section. Overall, the P2 really deserves to be a cheap successor to the P1, even surpassing his brother at some point in the sound. The sound is quite moderate in each band as well as the detail and good sound that makes any song become natural, gentle and comfortable.
