Design
iBfree owns a design that is as user-friendly as possible. Previous weakness of the headset was that the battery had to be charged to put the battery of the headset in a position that does not affect the wearing of the headset. 1More has put 2 batteries into 2 headphones housing, so these two parts protrude out much. But iBfree’s housing weighs just as much as wired headsets, so it almost feels like wearing two more batteries. The earbuds have an extra hook on the ear, so even if you run, your movements will not slip out. The housing is also equipped with IPX4 waterproof standards, so it can withstand sweat and dust when used.
On the headphone wire there are controllers. This controller includes enough toggle switches, receive calls, adjust the volume. At the side of the controller is a micro USB slot for charging headphones. The wires of the earphones have an extra pull cord, to shorten the cord to create convenience during use. Generally speaking, the headphones are not colorful, they are fancy, but they are as comfortable to wear as a regular wired headset, but as handy as a bluetooth headphone.
The quality of music
iBfree is a V-shape earphone, with two distinct parts that are bass and treble. The background of the headset is dark, warm and thick. This is a headphone that can be used for good listening, except for really complex music genres such as High-Speed Rock, Classical Space Need.
Perhaps the bass is the part where iBfree plays the most out of the three bands. Bass is a little more than average, not too much to overwhelm all other components but it’s clearer than 1M301. The bass playing is quite characteristic, not hard playing but softened and slightly darker than normal. It is not warm, but it is simply dark and played more than average. Bass still has the play space behind the track, there is a slight inversion in the bass, not much to bass down but still. This slightly bass also makes the bass less a bit heavyweight, so the bass tone is more majestic. Sub bass deep enough, there echoes the two sides and also contribute to making the background sound dark. Try the Faded, the mid bass is played at moderate speed, leaving a bit of tail but does not occupy the music space cause discomfort! The bass is not too much, so of course can use good play, play many different types of music without feeling superfluous, overwhelming other components distract.
The mid-section of the headset is slightly behind the track and not as advanced as the E1003. Female vocalist Emily Loizeau in Je suis jalouse slightly warm and dark direction, standing in line with the treble and bass background. We will not say this is a good thing or a bad thing, but it must be said that although it is done backwards, the mid section is still quite easy to hear, keeping a certain level of detail rather than being overridden by other components. High mid mid to low roll off, so headphones never sibalance, even the most sibalance songs like singer Yao Si Ting. iBfree performs best in male vocal acapella songs, such as Crazy Life’s Home Free album. The voices of the singers in this group are heavy. Josh Turner’s vocals – bass player and beat box – all over the bass, but still a little in the low mid are played smooth and warm. The back part of the mid-section also made songs like Your man, I’ve Seen become “cramped”, with the voice of 5 singers at once, but also to create a space music close, comfortable.
As a V-shape headset, of course, the iBfree treble is also a little more advanced to make the headset a hit. The treble volume of the headphones is just right, but is always slightly higher than the mid-section, so it’s easier to spot than some other headphones. Back to the song Faded mentioned in the bass, treble is played in the entire music space, creating an open space and vibrant. IBfree is not a headset with ultra-wide sound, which is a bit of a loss compared to the A65, but the treble is made to make the listener feel the sound field is still wide enough, not a constraint. Anyhow. The treble is slightly dry, cold, thin, but also gives a good metal feel.
