amazon Acer Iconia B1 reviews

The Acer Iconia B1-721 is an upgrade of the Iconia B1-A71. The handset is “refurbished” much in terms of design and configuration. Acer’s tablet has a plastic case with a rectangular surface with shape to hold the hand firmly and protect against fingerprints and dirt.

Unlike the back of only one black, the front of the machine is mixed with other colors like red, silver to help highlight the machine. The machine is also thinner than the previous generation and the back curved to help users hold the device easier.

Speaker and microphone are located on the front, bottom of the screen. Acer decorates the speaker and mic mini round holes in parallel with the BoomSound speaker system commonly found on HTC’s smartphones.

Acer only equips a front camera with a VGA resolution that supports video calls on this mid-range tablet. The machine has two hard buttons; the power button is located at the top of the machine next to the charging port and the headphone jack, the remaining volume keys are located on the right side of the device.

Because of the support for 3G connectivity, the Iconia B1 also has a sim card slot on the right side, above the volume button. Another place for the memory card is located on the left side of the machine opposite the sim card slot. Both slots have no cover that users can quickly remove the SIM card and memory card without shutting down the engine.

Monitor and features

The Acer Iconia B1 screen is 7 inches in size with a resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels, similar to the other inexpensive tablet models on the market. Although using TN technology, thanks to the thinner screen design, the angle of view of the new Iconia B1 is quite good with high contrast. However, the screen is a bit dark, so it is more difficult to use outdoors in the sun.

The Acer Iconia B1-721 runs Android 4.2 and has not changed much from the original Google Android operating system with the usual native applications. Acer has installed a series of software applications to support first-time users to use the tablet. In addition to AcerCloud, Acer’s 30GB Dropbox store also allows users to store most of their data without using a memory card.
Acer only equips a VGA camera resolution on the front, and this camera can only meet the needs of the video call.

Performance and battery life

Like other inexpensive models, the Acer Iconia B1-720 is moderately configured with a 1.3GHz MediaTek dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory be expanded with memory cards. With this configuration, the web browsing or check mail operation is quite fast and stable. Playing games like the Temple Run or the Clash of Clan can be quite good, sometimes shocked, this is usually seen on the cheap models.

The Benchmark score for the Quadrant test is 3,886, which is quite good in its segment. When tested by the Antutu Benchmark program, the machine reached 12,463 points and was rated at a good level.
The graphics engine can display up to 55 frames per second at its highest resolution when tested with NenaMark 2.

The machine’s battery is capable of meeting the day-to-day needs of ordinary users with the requirements of check mail, web surfing, or entertainment. For those who like to play games, watching movies continuously, the machine can use for about 5 hours before needing to charge.
