Compact design with up to 32GB of data storage, USB 2.0 interface and micro USB port for connectivity to smartphones and tablets with USB OTG support.

The Adata UD320 is Adata’s Dashdrive lineup and is one of the first USB flash drives available on the market with a storage capacity of 32 GB, compatible with smartphone and tablet support.

The product is compact and lightweight, only 8 grams. The three-part structure is a cover, micro-USB adapter from standard USB A to micro USB, and most importantly a universal USB 2.0 standard.

The highlight of this design is that users can use standalone memory storage as a regular USB to store data from a PC via USB 2.0 or with a micro USB transfer head for connection. Connected to smartphone and tablet with USB OTG support.

The Ada UD320 is available in two capacities of 16 and 32 GB, compatible with Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8), Mac OS X 10.6, Linux Kernel 2.6 and Android 4.1 or higher.

Has tested the actual USB OTG UD320 model on the Haswell platform configuration with Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 7 motherboard, Intel Core i7-4770K processor, Windows 7 SP1 operating system, and use SSD as the primary partition.

The results below show that UD320’s data rate over USB 2.0 is faster than the average of some other USB OTGs tested. For example, with the ATTO Disk Benchmark, the UD320 reaches 19.7 megabits per second in read and write operations of 27.2 megabytes per second, compared to Silicon Power’s 13.9 and 19.9 megabytes per second.

Similar to HD Tune Pro 5.5, the read speed is 18.7 MB / sec, where the burst rate reaches 21.6 MB / sec.

In real-time measurements of 2GB of composite data of a variety of formats, including HD movies, lossless music, application installation sources, and text files, Adata UD320 takes about 1 minute 25 seconds. To finish copying the data to the Documents folder, the system partition reads an average speed of 25.5 MB / sec. In contrast to the record operation with 2GB of mixed data on takes 2 minutes 8 seconds, the average write speed reduced to 16 MB / sec.

Experimenting with a 2GB single-file file, the Adata UD320 only took 1 minute 53 seconds with an average write speed of 18.1 MB / sec, about 13.3% faster than the same composite record. In contrast to the read-back speed there is no significant difference between single file and mixed data.
