Assassin’s Creed III-A long journey, finally coming to an end. What we have known, done, right or wrong, has brought about unexpected results.

Nothing is true, everything is permitted

Assassin’s Creed’s maxim has guided players from version to version, witnessing more and more subtle, engaging, and dramatic changes.

And then all the quintessence of the series has converged in the third version – Assassin’s Creed III, to show off the best things that Ubisoft wants to bring to players.

With only the open world and interactive missions, Assassin’s Creed would look like a clone of the famous Grand Theft Auto, so to be “different”, Ubisoft chose a tougher path, and Time has proven they have been successful with their decision.

That is the way that players walk with the Assassin’s Creed series through extremely elaborate historical experiences, combined with fantasy elements of space, time, and things that humanity is still solving code, to then recreate everything honestly, detailed, and full of charm with a shaky game script.

Assassin’s Creed III continues to use the elements mentioned above as his “launchpad”.

As in previous versions, much of Assassin’s Creed III’s time has been in the past (in Desmond Miles’ subconscious mind).

Assassin’s Creed III started in the New World in the 18th century, through the main character – Indian Ratonhnhaké: ton (Connor), players will experience historical events that shaped America today: the revolt of 13 colonial states against the motherland – Great Britain, conflicts of interest between the indigenous peoples and the new masters of the New World.

A parallel is a development in the modern world when Desmond is racing against time to save the world before the apocalypse is approaching.

Overall, the content of Assassin’s Creed III still revolves around the complicated conflict between two rival factions: Templar and Assassin, with different principles of working for the same goal-seeking peace for the world.

However, in this period, the plot is more agile when exploiting the conflict between father and son (past – present), conflict of opinion between teachers and students, betrayal between teammates in the same line, and end. Good use of historical characters and details to make the plot more exciting!

Besides, the duration for the modern game is also slightly longer than the previous game allowing players to explore more places, while also revealing many secrets about the first race on Earth, thereby understand the causes of the end of the world with their solutions.

Unfortunately, in the early stages of Assassin’s Creed III (which takes up a third of the game time), the plot seems to be slow and unnecessarily rambling.

Also, if you look closely, Assassin’s Creed III has quite a few action sequences that are dramatic like in Naughty Dog’s popular Uncharted series.

In which, the player must quickly escape from danger with a fast rhythm, the camera views are arranged with Hollywood cinema style, making the player watch the stunts and participate in the phases. This is nothing more interesting than!

Through each version of Assassin’s Creed, we easily see the gameplay of the series increasingly diverse and interesting.

Recall that in the first part, the player was bored with a few dry and repetitive side quests, difficult to find mysterious flags without a map, then to the next version, it was easy to see how varies from treasure hunting maps, bomb usage, support gangs, assassin organization, and training, challenging mystery storage locations, etc.

With Assassin’s Creed III, the list of sidequests as well as new features is endless.

They are quite natural and very rarely repetitive (like the previous games) so that the player cannot remember all the kinds of side quests in the game.

For example, sometimes the player … pays taxes to help a household, turns to help the farmer fight the troublemakers, destroys wild dogs that cause rabies, robs money trucks, attacks artillery radio, mysterious treasure hunt, animal traps for crafting materials, etc.

There is a system of items, a list of animals, and even mythical stories waiting for players to explore.

Must say, Assassin’s Creed III is too rich with “playable” dishes enough for players to be constantly busy, under the open-world game’s criterion, whatever you like to do!

And thanks to this, Assassin’s Creed III’s replay value has also increased.

The most prominent in the features, the side quest is the appearance of the marine battle.

This is a unique and novel feature for the first time in the series, with Assassin’s Creed III’s dedicated an array of players to freely explore.

Many kinds of side quests such as escorting, destroying pirates, attacking fortresses, hunting for treasure to alternate with the main mission with “slashing” battles that make players “aghast” with Assassin’s Creed III.

This segment is done quite carefully with the control of the ship fast and slow according to the speed, the influence of the weather, many types of bullet fire, and the pair of battleships (as often seen in movies or games with marine themes hijack).

With certainty, the prominence as well as the attractiveness of naval warfare in Assassin’s Creed III will be the premise for Ubisoft’s future games.

Maybe, the company will announce some pirate games, why?

Remember, the Assassin’s Creed line of games comes from a concept sketch for another of Ubisoft’s legendary games – Prince of Persia, there!

With an open-world game, the difficulty is usually just enough, not too difficult or too easy.

So is Assassin’s Creed line, from the first through the three seasons of episode two without making it difficult for players in every way.

But in Assassin’s Creed III’s, challenges suddenly appeared.

The most obvious is Assassin’s Creed III’s combat array. If in the previous parts, the player will easily “bully” the opponent no matter how many they are thanks to the mechanism of continuous attack and counterattack too easily, then in Assassin’s Creed III the fighting must be over caution.

Continuous attacks, block attacks still work but have to watch at the right time, press the button at the right time and the machine characters also know how to counter-attack, “tit for tat” just like you, from the stalker to the high-ranking commanders.

It seems predictable that the player likes to “make a story”, so Assassin’s Creed III has a dense set of patrols and guards and each crowd always has the lowest base of 6 or more, so when you “Causing trouble”, the ability to become “superman” is almost impossible when the soldiers keep coming massively!

In return, players have beautiful fighting moments with very natural, flexible, and devastating moves, including slow-motion enough to satisfy those who love fighting!

Another Assassin’s Creed III’s challenge that can be seen if you’re observant is the inclusion of additional requirements while performing missions.

They look simple but extremely difficult.

For example, asking the player to escort weak merchant fleets against warships with minimal damage, or chase a target without … not hitting pedestrians swarming around!

Failure will not affect the main goal but will make perfection lovers feel “dislike” for not being able to complete the hundred percent.

The Abstergo system in the multiplayer section is getting more and more perfect, and also brings a bit of online game direction by allowing players to “buy” or “unlock” support items with real money or in-game money (players must reach certain levels and fulfill the requirements).

This explains why item lists, trophies, skills, etc. in the multiplayer category!

In addition to bringing the original Revelations gameplay, then re-editing, Assassin’s Creed III also introduces a co-op (“WolfPack”) which is quite interesting for other players (max 4) and “The Abstergo. Story ”(a kind of challenge to open up interesting information or video trivia).

There’s no denying, Assassin’s Creed III’s graphics have gone a long way when upgrading to its latest engine – AnvilNext.

The power of the new graphics engine has brought Assassin’s Creed III a vivid worldview with a detailed forest with a rich ecosystem, vibrant neighborhoods with characters and objects. Surprising weather systems with dense blizzards, rain, wind, wave surges, and even day and night swings are flexible!

But, it is also because of the use of “new products” too, so problems happen is natural.

The most common is the cross-object bug, but affecting the gameplay is that the character… disappears, making the player unable to interact!

Another problem, not exactly an error, but annoying is the loading of the scene.

There are times when just a small episode like opening the door or finishing a cutscene also loads Assassin’s Creed III continuously, making the game’s rhythm interrupted, crumbly annoying!
