Sound
Before talking about sound quality, I would say a little about the comfort of the CKB50 as it is a strength of headphones. Unable to overcome the traditional midrange of Audio Technica, the CKB50 has a thick, warm medium and is a little bit dark. What the CKB50 differs from traditional ATH headphones is the mid position. Mid of the well known ATH headphones like the AD900x, IM02 tend to be trendy or at least quite strikingly. But CKB50 gives a medium backward, soothing and sinking into the orchestra. Because of the midrange of the other ATH headphones, but behind the head, the CKB50 is easy to hear, without the slightest glare. Of course a midrange headset, so the mid-detail CKB50 can not be as good as the more advanced ones, but the CKB50 is not a Vshape headset like the CKS55x or CKS77x so all vocals are sinking. somewhat blurred but always clear.
The mid section of the headset is mostly focused on the lower mid and mid mid than the high mid.
