The packaging of the Haylou LS02 is similar to many Xiaomi smart devices; it is very likely that Dongguan Liesheng has been an OEM for too long for Xiaomi and is also affected.

In terms of appearance, this smartwatch model is quite similar to most recent smartwatch models; it has a square face that feels similar to Apple Watch. Most likely, this is an intention from the manufacturer to make their products more attractive in users’ eyes.
Because it is cheap, the whole product is built from a plastic material; the frame is hard plastic coated with rough paint. On the left side is a rectangular physical key that turns on the screen and brings the smartwatch to the home screen.
The strap is a soft silicone material that feels good to wear, I can not compare the smoothness with quality watches of several hundred dollars, but this part certainly does not disappoint users.
The wire latch is quite common, so users can easily flex the rope without problems or difficulties.
The screen of Haylou LS02 has a size of 1.4 inches, protected by 2.5D curved glass; not only beautiful in design, but this 2.5D glass also helps users get a better touch feeling.
Haylou has good visibility, very high screen brightness, even higher than the Amazfit Bip S model from Xiaomi, making it easy for users to monitor information even in the sun.
The font rendering ability of Haylou LS02 is also quite good, although it cannot be called good, but not to the point that you cannot read it. Each notification will be arranged quite neatly, and to read in detail, users need to select the message to read.
The downside is that the upper and lower screen borders are quite thick; if you are a fastidious user, you will not like this detail in the product.

To have certain objectivity, I chose another product to compare the tracking ability of Haylou LS02, which is an Apple iPhone XR with the Strava application installed (Measurement of distance by GPS).

Running in about 30 minutes, two laps around the apartment complex near the house, the distance that Haylou measured is 4.62km. Meanwhile, the Strava application measured 5.32km, the difference is about 20%, which means that the Haylou LS02 only reaches about 80% of the distance compared to Strava.
Interestingly, this watch gives lower results than Strava; personally, this disadvantage is not too bad because the user will need to exercise more to achieve the right distance.
Software interface
As a product born later, born late, but it seems that the manufacturer has not achieved the necessary refinement in the software. The Haylou software interface is quite simple, similar to the Mi Fit application, but the information and parameters are shown less. The application also cannot “draw” the running distance of the practitioner.
Again, this device is quite cheap, and such a level of sophistication in the software is good enough. If compared with other low-cost devices, maybe Haylou only loses to Xiaomi to set up and build software. Hopefully, shortly the company will develop more in this respect.
Battery life?
The battery life of the Haylou LS02 is very good, but if you leave too many notifications constantly “exploding” on this smartwatch, the battery life is only about one week. On the contrary, if you limit notifications from some applications and mainly use them to track exercises, the Haylou LS02 can stay active for about two weeks or a little more.
