Design:
HP TouchPad has a 9,7inch touch screen, a resolution of 1024×768 pixels, and 18-bit color depth. Although it is on par with the iPad 2 in terms of resolution, Apple’s tablet has a color depth of 24-bit. Android tablet 10,1 inch higher resolution (1280×800 pixels), but Android has only a 16-bit color.

The shape, the TouchPad is outwardly quite chic with a black glossy plastic casing and rounded corners design. However, this tablet is quite heavy and bulky. TouchPad weighs 1.61 pounds (750 grams), weighing more than 600 grams of the iPad 2 and the Galaxy Tab 570 grams more serious and even the Motorola Xoom (730 grams). 7,5×9,5×0,6inch size, TouchPad also almost doubled thicker iPad, thicker exactly 0.33 inch (8,3mm).

TouchPad’s screen has a 1.3-megapixel camera on the top edge, and the bottom is the Home button. However, unlike most of the current tablets, the TouchPad lacks a back camera to take pictures and film. The rounded edge of the TouchPad has several connectors and controls: a power button/wake, volume control, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a micro USB port to a plug-in charger and sync cable wire.

The virtual keyboard on the screen of the TouchPad is quite spacious for you to experience the full QWERTY keypad with the sequence when placing the computer vertically and horizontally. Besides, with Beats Audio speakers, the sound quality of the TouchPad is awe-inspiring, feeling superior to Apple iPad 2.

Battery, HP said this tablet could watch movies for up to 9 hours continuously. But in testing the technology blog Engadget’s, TouchPad running more than 8.5 hours of video playback on a single charge. This battery time is slightly faster than the Motorola Xoom but still lags far behind the Galaxy Tab and the iPad 2.

But less impressive interface applications.
The touchPad is HP’s first device to run webOS 3.0, the version optimized for tablets. If you’re familiar with the WebOS operating system version as in previous HP Veer 4G or Palm Pre, you will feel comfortable with the TouchPad because not much has changed.

WebOS 3.0 maintains the interface card feature. Users can switch between the tabs to view open applications. To make the user control over these applications, the operating system on the TouchPad lets things related groups by topic from different applications or group together multiple sites on the same issue.

Just the Type feature, where you need to find the contact entry or document, not much has changed significantly. This feature allows you to search for contacts or enter the web address. Some other changes include a notification that appears in the status bar (status); for example, you’ll see an alert when new email.

A built-in email client is also relatively easy to use TouchPad and efficient. As the name Synergy (i.e., forces), This email can link multiple accounts and display them on the same interface. Synergy works on Google, Yahoo, MobileMe, and many other email browsers.
Significant applications installed on the TouchPad include Maps (running on Bing Maps), Contacts, YouTube, Adobe Reader, music software, Twitter, and Memos application. In addition to these applications, TouchPad also has its own Facebook application decent Facebook app than most other mobile platforms. A pre-installed version of Quickoffice document reader only supports Microsoft Office and Google Docs files and can not create or edit.

Pluses for printing
HP makes a pretty good point is printed. The touchPad is the first tablet device to print directly from a simple if you have the HP wireless computer. HP Envy 100 computer e-All-in-One, and it works very smoothly.

Skype is built-in TouchPad and WebOS 3.0. However, all of the contact (contact) the devices are combined (Synergy) together, so pretty messy makes finding people you want to talk to Skype becomes strenuous. TouchPad also built Flash 10.3, but the ability to watch full HD movies on this tablet is not smooth as the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
