amazon KLIPSCH S1 reviews

Klipsch S1 is a true wireless headset from the US brand Klipsch (legendary American sound engineer: Paul W. Klipsch is the founder), a successful continuation of Klipsch T5 TWS. That is a compact, good-sounding headset at a very pleasant mid-range price.

I will open the box with you and quickly evaluate this true wireless headset Klipsch S1.

Open the headphone box.

The front is the familiar Klipsch S1 headset image on a white background, with luxurious black gold letters.

The back is printed with basic technical information we can immediately see, including water resistance, a mic on both sides, 21-hour battery.

The side is a picture of headphones, accessories, and size parameters of the headset and charging dock.

Open the headset box inside, including headset, charging dock, wireless charging dock, earplugs, two micro USB charging cords, and one manual.

Ear-hugging design, high perfection

Klipsch S1’s true wireless design is polished outside the luxurious housing, easy to wear, and close to the ear.

The in-ear earplugs feel inserted deeply when worn, creating a snug fit and sound quality in depth in the lower range.

The lid of the headphone dock is open, with the dock quite large, plus there is a small magnet on the top that helps to hold the lid tightly when closed, which is something I rarely see in a true wireless headset, whether Sennheiser or Sony.

Klipsch S1 True Wireless uses a fairly large dynamic 10mm diameter diver in the in-ear line. Inside the housing, a compartment is a sound chamber that delivers a rich bass sound.

The Klipsch S1 costs only 50% of the Klipsch T5 man, still exuding luxury in the exterior design lines. The housing front has a 4-petal chrysanthemum petal shape with a fairly large touch control area, easily controlled by touch.

The headset is placed in a rather elongated charging dock that looks quite ugly. In return, the dock supports Qi wireless charging, which is a plus.

Features of the headset

The headset does not support active noise cancellation, but with the ability to fit the ear of the oval button, the sound is isolated from two areas.

Using two microphones provides a clear voice, so ambient noise is also greatly reduced.

Latest Bluetooth 5.0 technology with AAC codec decoding minimize signal delay during online video playback. Bluetooth 5.0 wave can cover four times farther with 4.0; speed increased two times.

Headphones ensure listening to music, watching movies, having good conversations, and receiving special attention from headphone players.

Control and connect

To connect the S1 headset, you need to lift the headset out of the dock and detect Bluetooth from the phone to connect. The headset uses Bluetooth 5.0 standard to connect the main secondary with the R ear as the main ear. We can use the R ear independently or use two stereo ears when connecting normally.

Features on each side: you tap once on both sides to play/pause/call; the double-tap will stop the call immediately.

When playing music on the phone’s default application, tap twice quickly on the R side to the next song, twice on the L side to back the song. The mic is mounted on both ears, and the R ear is the main ear, so the conversation becomes clearer.

Waterproof IPX4

Waterproof IPX4 standard against splashing, light sweat like the Klipsch T5 series is aimed at users who play good sports or move vigorously for a long time.

The special oval-shaped ear tip button fits all sizes of headphones, preventing them from falling off during fast operation.

In practical use, I can exercise, go to the gym, go for a run due to the sealed housing and the silicone oval earplugs.

Battery life

The pair of headphones weighing 5g each ear achieves a battery life that can continuously be used on the ear for up to 5 hours. In addition, the charging dock also has up to 16 hours of use.

A unique feature of Klipsch S1 is the ability to wirelessly charge Qi wireless charging similar to AirPods Pro and Airpods 2. With each Klipsch S1 product, you will be given a wireless charging dock of Klipsch’s genuine micro USB charging standard.

User experience

After using the headset experience for about two weeks, I found the Klipsch S1 TWS headset to be slightly over-ear, similar in design and style to the JBL Free series or the Jabee FireFly series. For people with large ears, it will be more difficult to wear so that you can push the ear canal deeply.

The Klipsch S1 headphones embody the quality of the Klipsch line, focusing primarily on sound quality and user experience.

Call quality is quite good with a mic on each side; you can receive calls from people to handle work or call loved ones directly on the headset.

However, this microphone still does not support the active noise filtering standard, so you must choose the right earplugs to fit your ears.

The sound is rich in the bass range with much popular modern music today, sounds very good. Regarding the feature of watching movies or playing games, all performed well, especially playing online games, the sound delay is only about 0.2 s, which is negligible.

Sound quality

To use the headset’s sound quality test accurately and honestly, you should use familiar lossless, high-quality music. I use popular hit songs with WAV and FLAC quality, such as Hello, Alone.

Klipsch S1 True wireless has a 10mm dynamic type driver to show the powerful bass range. When you choose the right earplugs, you will hear the most suitable bass. Bass is wide, spread, and has depth; sub-bass is smooth but clear. But the beat of the electronic drum has a wide force of compaction and beat, which will cause the sound range to melt when going deep.

Mid: The mid-range is smooth, especially female voices, like Adele with familiar songs to test speakers like Hello, Fate. The high mid-range is slightly backward and has a smoothness that is very true to the style of the Klipsch sound company.

Treble: The treble strip is very neat; listening for a long time is quite smooth, so the saxophone passages sound soft.

The soundstage is in a mezzanine state, so when you are tired easily, you will fall asleep in a smooth sleep.

Summary

Klipsch is still loved by many users with its pair of cabinet speakers with pretty good sound quality. Klipsch S1 will mark as a model that competes well with big names in the wireless headset industry such as Sony, JBL, Sennheiser, and Apple.
