Design and features
The LaCie d2 quadra 2TB external hard drive features a desktop design, a traditional gray aluminum case that matches Apple’s Macs. The LaCie d2 quadra weighs in at 1.7kg, is mounted on an aluminum base of the same color, and features a 2TB hard drive with a 7200rpm hard drive.
The unique green button on the front and the button to open the default application (must be pre-installed with the software included) and the signal light. Specifically, the color of the signal lights will not change according to the state of the hard disk, but also depends on the connection of the hard disk to the computer (such as the light green when connected via USB 3.0 and blue Bold when connecting through the remaining ports).

Read / write speed
To test the read / write performance of the 2TB LaCie d2 quadra external hard drive, the Test Lab uses HD Tune Pro 4.60 software and measures over a common USB 2.0 connection.
Switching to measuring the actual read / write speed of this external hard disk drive using ATTO software, the Test Lab found that the speed measured by the eSATA port was the highest, about four times higher than when measured via USB 2.0.
