amazon LYPERTEK PUREPLAY Z3 reviews

The pair of portable headphones/speakers in the middle will be the highest performance/price product for any audio company. They will have a higher number of features than the “junior” at the entry-level price range but do not have to be equipped with too many modern things to achieve superior sound quality to have a skyrocketing price in flagship products.

With Lypertek, this is probably still true with the Pureplay Z3 pair! This pair of headphones seems to be born to fill the small holes left by the Soundfree S20 pair, but still at a price range that anyone can access.

Instead of having a white box like the Soundfree S20, the Z3 (and we will find out later on, is Z7) has a black box, which I think looks more “luxurious.” On the box, we will see a stamp certifying the most valuable product of 2019 by Techradar for Tevi – the pair of headphones that set the stage for the development of the Z3 announced this year.

Not only the box, but the velvet inside the Z3 box is also black for the same tone. Opening the box, we will see the headset and the charging box first; the accessories will be placed in another box at the bottom.

The accessory set of the headset includes a type-C charging cord, two rubber cushions, and a sponge pad.

The Z3’s charging box reminds me of the Sennheiser True Wireless 2 box; when both are wrapped in gray braided fabric like this, it looks quite fashionable and also feels quite luxurious in hand.

There is a “feature” in this charging box that, in my opinion, other brands should follow is a small leather strap, which can be easily tied to a backpack or keychain if needed.

The design is outstanding, but we see the “monster” of this charging box when it comes to features. When used independently, the Z3 can play music for 10 hours and can be charged up to 6 more times with this box for a total of 70 hours! That’s right, 70 hours is 20 hours higher than the Noble Falcon 2 / Falcon Pro pair and surpasses many other wireless Over-Ear pairs. Gone are the days when True Wireless had a “poor” time!

Not stopping there, this charging box allows users to charge according to the Qi standard wirelessly; if the battery runs out and the charger is not found, the Z3 can get power from the smartphone through Qualcomm’s Powershare feature.

The earpiece of the Pureplay Z3 is made entirely of smooth plastic, not the matte finish like in the S20, looking less “sporty” but more “elegant, office.” The outer part also has a shiny metal ring, adding to the premium look of the headset.

The outside of the headphones are physical buttons with light pressure, so there is no feeling of pressing the headset deeper every time you use it. With two buttons, we can fully control the volume, switch songs, call virtual assistants and add the Ambient Sound feature to help listen to environmental sounds without removing the Z3. Ambient Sound is a feature Lypertek equips with all its TWS pairs, cheap or expensive!

This pair of headphones is equipped with IPX7 water resistance, two levels higher than the S20’s IPX5. With this standard, the Z3 can be submerged in water without harm, opening up the ability to take the headset to take a bath or swim for users.

A small minus point I noticed in Z3 is that the rubber buffers that the company comes with are not very high quality; they are hardened and a bit longer than the headset’s sound tube. When using the sponge cushion, the wearing feeling of the Z3 becomes much more comfortable; there are no more points inside the ear canal! And if anyone has the conditions, they can buy softer rubber cushions, which will improve the fit quality of this pair of headphones compared to the included type.

Although it is a new company in the market, Lypertek has also developed software for smartphones. With this software, we can check the headset’s battery life, apply EQ to adjust the sound quality, change the control features of the two buttons, and update the software of the ear.

In its founding goal, Lypertek said that it wanted to create True Wireless headphones with stylish designs and full features but not “ignored” in sound quality. So what about the Pureplay Z3? How do these headphones Sound? Providing Sound to the user, the Z3 uses a 6mm Dynamic driver like the S20. Still, it is coated with a layer of Graphene to increase rigidity, and we can also hear the difference with the S20 by the nature of the type speaker.

First is the bass; Z3 has a fairly full bass; in songs with many basses, you will be able to hear it clearly without having to “find” it too closely. Unlike the S20, which is more about depth, but it seems a bit lacking in force because the mid-bass part is slightly pushed back, the Z3 plays more evenly, so there is a depth of “force” every time played. In Laura Shigihara’s Loonboon, we see round drum sounds that leave a strong impression but break quickly. The ability to press the bass strongly but interrupt it to create this “on” is advantageous for pairs of headphones with Graphene-coated diaphragms, thanks to its rigidity.

As a user of the Noble Falcon pair, I find the similarities of this pair of headphones with the Lypertek Z3 in the mid-range performance. It has a slight light direction, especially because the high-mid is pushed slightly higher than the low-mid. This performance helps airy female vocalists like Cécile Corbel in Under the lake become more “magical,” on the contrary, male vocalists become younger, lacking a bit of thickness.

The Z3’s treble is not bad at all, it’s not as bright and prominent as the Noble Falcon headphones, but like the bass, the listener doesn’t have to “stretching” to notice them. I like the high Sound of the Z3. It has a good naturalness because it lasts long enough, not just playing at a peak point commonly found in V-shape headphones.

It’s time to replace your wired headphones!

The market for True Wireless headphones has reached a “mature” level up to now, which is very evident in products like the Lypertek Pureplay Z3 we learn about today. A pair of TWS headphones but with a duration of up to 70 hours (even more than ear cups), an extremely solid connection with Bluetooth 5.2, and a comprehensive sound like this, maybe it’s time for those of you to Still hesitating about “cutting the cord” should do it today!
