amazon Mee Matrix Cinema reviews
Along with the Monitor Inear line, the Matrix product line is the flagship of American audio company Mee Audio. This line is intended to use multi-function, users can use to play games, watching movies and of course listening to music. Cinema again confirms this functionality with a number of minor enhancements, but can be said to be essential.
This is an on-ear pair, which is smaller than most full-size headsets. One reason for making such a small headset is that it’s a wireless headset that can be carried anywhere, not just plug-and-play at home.
On the outside, there is a thick layer of artificial leather, two previous products of the Matrix series with carbon imitation fabric or velvet.
The case is made of plastic and leather, but the main body of the headset is still made of metal for added sturdiness. Of course, this is a mid-range product should not “dare” to use plastic frame, will give the feeling of cheap.
Ear cushions are made of soft leather, with no stripe pattern other than the outside. Inside there are two large R and L letters to help distinguish the left and right ones. This pad is not very thick. The user’s ears are touching the plastic on the inside, but the plastic is also covered fabric so generally still quite comfortable. I use the headphones to watch the movie, after 2 hours ear is slightly light, but also spent 5 minutes to be able to continue using.
An upgrade point that the company is proud of is the various audio modes, users can adjust through a button on the ear. These four modes include:
– Clear voice: Push the middle band, clear the voice
– Clear voice plus: Same as Clear voice, but more powerful
– Bass Boost: As the name suggests, boost and add volume to the bass
– Dynamic Music: Create V-shape sound, high voice and high sound for “younger” sound
To accommodate the moviegoers, the company also has two minor upgrades in addition to the audio modes. First, the battery life has been increased from 24 hours to 30 hours. The 24-hour number has been very good, but of course the user will still welcome this upgrade.
Second, the company uses Bluetooth LL (Low Latency), which reduces the latency between the headset and the source. One of the major weaknesses of wireless headsets, making them difficult to use for watching movies, is that gaming is late. If the latency is high, the image on the screen will reach the user’s eye before the sound reaches the ear, creating an unpleasant sensation. Qualcomm’s Low Latency standard solves this problem, of course, not 100% better than a wired headset, but it’s good enough for watching movies and gaming.
This pair of earphones have a darker sound similar to most other headphones from Mee. The strings are quite thick, especially the bass drum. The amount of bass is high and can be said to be over average. Most of the drums are concentrated in mid bass, and sub deep in the two modes of Bass Boost and Dynamic Music. Try the Eagles Hotel California, the drum beat and the punchy punchy. The sound of Cinema and the headphones from Mee is generally very hard, but not too unpleasant.
The midrange is the most variable range of sound modes. With Bass Boost and Dynamic Music, the singer’s voice is light, as the headphones push the bass and / or treble strings to create a powerful sound that fits in with the dance music. Pop. For those who listen to jazz, music and lyrics are used to watch movies, it is recommended to use two modes Clear Voice or Clear Voice Plus. In these two modes, the singer’s voice is still slightly darker but closer to the listener. The high mid is strictly controlled so no glare occurs, so users can be assured of the problem of síbalance.
The score is not satisfied with the sound quality of Matrix Cinema is high. This band is not impressive because the amount of stops is moderate, as well as not sharp, not airy. The wind chimes in the Miracle of the group Above and Beyond just enough use, not strong enough to make this song “wonderful” as playing through the pair of high-sounding stronger. In Dynamic Music mode, the tone is slightly higher, so it’s somewhat improved.
The sound of the headset stops temporarily, the Matrix line is closed so the sound can not escape. Cinema has improved compared to its predecessors, but still can not keep up with the open-back pair of headphones.
Summary
Like other Mee products, the Matrix Cinema does not have so much of a difference, as compared to other headphones from other brands, but is a solid choice. The purpose of Cinema is to use multifunctional, and the headset has done well this task.
