amazon Radeon HD 7750 reviews
Design
The new Radeon HD 7750 based on the Radeon HD 7750 GPU (codenamed Cape Verde Pro), uses the same Graphics Core Next (GCN Architecture) as two graphics cards high-end Radeon HD 7970 and Radeon HD 7950.
Compared to the older VLIW4 graphics architecture of the Radeon HD 5700 and Radeon HD 6700 series GPUs (code-named Juniper), the new GCN architecture improves GPU’s multi-threaded processing capabilities, making better use of graphics processing power. With multiple pipelines at the same time without significant effect on overall performance. In addition, the application of 28nm manufacturing technology also allows the reduction of the distance between transistor connections (transistors), so that the new GPUs have faster processing speeds, low power consumption and cooler when active.
The new Radeon HD 7750 design has many similarities with the Radeon HD 7770, but has removed some of the components for a competitive price that suits the majority of users. The illustration shows both the new Radeon HD 7750 card and the same PCB size, heat sink fan, video output and both power line location +12V PCIe 6 feet.
The Radeon HD 7750 has 8 compute units with a total of 512 stream processing units, 32 texture unit units, and 16 color ROP units. Compared with the old version, the Radeon HD 7750 Test Lab card received a higher clock rate, reaching 900MHz compared to 800MHz of the old model. The image overlay speed is 28.8 GT / s and the power consumption is also higher, 75W compared to 55W of the old model. In addition, the card is equipped with 1GB GDDR5 memory, 1.125MHz memory clock and 128bit memory interface.
Technology, support features
As mentioned above, the Radeon HD 7750 graphics card uses the same Graphics Core Next graphics as the Radeon HD 7970 and 7950 graphics cards. So, the HD 7750 still supports the full library. DirectX 11.1 and OpenGL 4.2 graphics as well as optimized multi-threading, 24-bit anti-aliasing and 16-surface texture filtering, Enhanced Quality Anti-Aliasing (EQAA) and Morphological Anti-Aliasing (MLAA) High quality antialiasing images during and after rendering to bring the user the most “sharp” images.
The Radeon HD 7750 is also capable of supporting 3D HD video display with AMD HD3D technology. AMD Eyefinity technology allows for the simultaneous pairing of four monitors (DVI, HDMI 1.4a and 2 mini DisplayPorts) for up to 4096×2160 (4K support) resolutions for gaming, movie playback or Work with multiple applications at the same time.
In addition to AMD PowerPlay smart power management technology that reduces power consumption by idle, the graphics card is also equipped with the new AMD PowerTune technology, which actively adjusts the TDP (power level) To boost GPU clocking to a higher level, delivering the highest performance in specialized graphics applications or games “hardware killer”.
Performance evaluation
To test the power of the AMD Radeon HD 7750 graphics card, Test Lab uses a test configuration built on the Z77 BMC chipset, Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1 and Catalyst 12.8 driver. Graphics tests include 3DMark 11, Heaven Benchmark v3.0 and some DirectX 11 games such as DiRT 3, Alien vs. Predator 1.03 and Crysis 2 run at 1280×720 (HD 720p) and 1920×1080 (full HD 1080p).
In testing the processor’s multi-threading capabilities and graphics card based on 3DMark 11 tool. In Performance mode, Radeon HD 7750 reached 2,976 points 3DMark 11 and 2,652 GPU points. Similarly in extreme mode, the test configuration is 902 points 3DMark 11 and 801 point GPU.
With the Heaven Benchmark, the graphics benchmark is pretty much similar to 3DMark 11 but mainly emphasizes tessellation technology; One of the outstanding technologies in the DirectX 11 graphics library, the fps rate of the Radeon HD 7750 reaches 57.6fps at 720p HD resolution with the average graphics setting (tessellation: moderate, shaders Low, 0xAA, 4xAF, 3D disable). However, at 1080p full HD resolution and graphics quality is pushed higher, the number of frames decreased to 24.2 fps and 15.9 fps with extreme graphics settings; Significantly lower than the standard 30fps.
For DirectX 11 games is DiRT 3, Alien vs. The Predator 1.03 and Crysis 2, the AMD Radeon HD 7750, performed pretty well at 720p HD resolution and even at 1080p full HD resolution at the same graphics quality.
Similar to the Heaven Benchmark test, when pushing graphical quality to a higher level, setting up eight sample antialiasing modes (8xAA), 16x anaerobic filtering (16xAF) The graphics processing power of the AMD Radeon HD 7750 game significantly reduced, such as Crysis 2 reached 24.7fps and Alien Vs. Predator only reached 20.2fps. Particularly with DiRT 3 reaching 34.2fps, slightly higher than the standard 30fps.

Temperature, power consumption
To test the graphics card heat dissipation and the power consumption of the test configuration (not including the monitor), Test Lab uses the MSI Afterburner utility with MSI Kombustor’s “heavy-duty” graphical emulation. DirectX 11. The system temperature and power were recorded using GPU-z and Logger Lite software in a 26°C environment.
In no-load mode, the GPU temperature fluctuates at 32 degrees Celsius, fan running smoothly at a speed of 1400 rpm. The power consumption of the test configuration is 59W; Calculated by means of averages.
With the MSI Kombustor graphics test, GPU temperatures up to 69 degrees Celsius, the fan runs quietly at 1.880 rpm. The power consumption of the corresponding test configuration is 126.6W; Calculated in the highest value.
Still using the MSI Kombustor graphics test and pushing the fan speed to the highest (4,690rpm), the GPU temperature dropped to 56 degrees C (down to 18.8%) but compensated for the high fan noise, the image Significantly affect the surrounding environment.
Comment
Not only does it change the look and feel of the Mini Displayport port, the graphics performance of the new Radeon HD 7750 is also stronger than the AMD introduced earlier this year. In addition, the new graphics architecture Graphics Core Next, the Radeon HD 7750 still supports the full range of technologies, features such as two models of high-end graphics cards Radeon HD 7970 and Radeon HD 7950.
The above test results show that AMD’s popular graphics card easily conveys Test Lab scenarios built in 720p HD resolution but at 1080p resolution, the Radeon HD 7750 significantly reduced. This is perfectly normal with popular graphics card models.
Considering the p / p ratio (performance / cost), the Radeon HD 7750 will be one of the attractive options for a large number of users.
