amazon Samsung Galaxy J2 Core reviews

By chance at the end of the week, I turned around to find a device with 2 sims to both use the voice sim while using the 4G transmitter for convenience (more economical than the 4G registration solution for the main voice sim), I was wondering between buying 4G strong battery generator with a cheap smartphone. The dedicated 4G transmitter is good for battery life (some have large batteries that can make backup batteries), but it is also quite inconvenient to have to carry with both the phone, the transmitter, and the iPad too.

Choosing a regular Android smartphone with a price range of $100, one is a slow strong battery, twice is a device that also runs relatively well, the battery is poor. So I chose a Samsung Galaxy J2 Core device running Android Go because I heard that this operating system version is light and smooth.

The design is simple but convenient

As a popular low-cost line, of course, you will not get designs such as bezel-less screen, monolithic aluminum design …. but not too bad either.

Still the familiar soft curved design of Samsung, but the front of the screen is quite thick.

The device uses the back cover to remove the battery, not the monolithic design like most smartphones today.

And I personally prefer this type of removable battery because it is possible to buy more portable batteries for easy replacement in emergencies.

The bottom edge only has the charging port, microphone, and headset because the external speaker is located on the back of the common camera cluster

Normal configuration but a good experience, although a bit dark

5-inch screen; Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 Quad-core chip, 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, 2,600 mAh battery; The numbers are too normal, even low compared to conventional smartphones, this also makes me a little hesitant when deciding to order.

However, when I got it and tried it out, it was quite surprising that everything ran very smoothly, not as slow as I imagined. Because the apps are all minimalistic, you won’t find the shiny effects as nice as conventional machines but in return run very fast and light. Personally, because I use it as a secondary device, I feel better than other Android phones that cost $100-150 2GB RAM.

The 5-inch screen of the machine just stops at a resolution of 540 x 960, at the moment it’s a bit dark, but if you are not too fastidious, the experience I feel is still good watching youtube is still clear and quite sharp.

There is a small note that the Youtube Go version on this line when you choose a clip to open, the machine will ask you to choose what size, if you watch by Wifi you should choose the highest level that the clip supports to have a clear image. The low levels are suitable when you just want to listen to music without seeing pictures when using 4G to save the capacity of the package. While watching, you will not be able to change the quality level, so you should choose from the beginning, otherwise, you have to exit and reselect the clip if you want to change.

Some other apps I use such as Facebook Lite, Messenger Lite, and Google Maps Go are a bit lacking in features if you are familiar with the regular app.

As Google Maps Go does not have the feature to explore nearby places (restaurants, cafes, …)

Facebook and Messenger Lite do not allow the installation of additional emotions, only two available + themed emoticons.

2,600 mAh battery but strong

In addition to the lack of high definition, the 540 x 960 screen of the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core also has the advantage of saving battery life and making the app run faster because the machine does not have to process images in high resolution. Perhaps Samsung has pre-calculated a 2,600 mAh battery.

At the present time, if you look at any Android device with a 3,000 mAh battery, it can be said that it is weak physiological and I also think, but when using Samsung Galaxy J2 Core, it is completely opposite.

I attached both sims to the device, fully charged, then let the device update the operating system types 2 times, using enough facebook and messenger version lite always running in the background. I used it from 22:00 on June 15, during the process I listened to a little call, I used to surf the Facebook and Messenger, but it was not continuous, I watched a few clips on youtube, mainly used 4G continuously for nearly 5 hours. It is about 37 hours, the device still has 51% battery, quite impressive. This shows that you can completely use the device comfortably for 1.5-2 days to have to charge the battery.

Cool operation, ideal for making 4G transmitter

And there is a very commendable point that when 4G continuously played for 4 hours, the battery only slipped about 18%, and the device did not get hot, but only warm slightly in the upper part when playing, even though I put the device in a sealed bag, if left outside, it is not nearly as hot. If it is only for 4G broadcasting purposes, it can be broadcast for nearly 20 hours.

The camera is average, with good detail but slow to capture

In terms of photography, Samsung Galaxy J2 Core is equipped with an 8 MP camera on the back and 5 MP on the front. Not great cameras, average quality.

The front camera is clear, but perhaps due to the saving resource, there is no beauty mode, the back is a bit difficult to live virtual.

One weakness of both cameras is the slow capture speed. If you are used to high-end Android models or iPhone, you will be quite susceptible to blurring when taking photos, but when I know the idea, I keep the camera still quite well.
