amazon Sony Cyber-shot RX100 V reviews
Design
As with previous generations, the RX100 V is still equipped by Sony for the rigid aluminum alloy frame, the button layout remains the same, the screen is still the same resolution and flip system. The flash position, electronic viewfinder, etc. are completely unchanged. It can be said that the last three generations of RX100 almost no difference in style and appearance. So, Sony still refuses to upgrade its grip handle, which many users complain about because it is very slippery.
For the lens, the Sony RX100 V still features a Zeiss Vario-Sonnar lens with exclusive T * coating, 24-70mm focal length and maximum aperture of f / 1.8-2.8. In addition, the lens is equipped with an electronic ND filter, which reduces the intense light from the outside environment and enables the user to switch on or off easily on the monitor screen via the Fn button.
The EVF viewfinder on the RX100 V retains the resolution of 2.36 million pixels, and it displays all the information needed for the user as well as the main screen.
Feature upgraded
While there is no difference outside, the interior is the new thing that interested users. Sony has upgraded the RX100’s focus system to Fast Hybrid AF with 315 focus points, reducing the subject line down to 0.05 seconds, compared to 0.09 seconds on the RX100 IV.
Not only that, Sony has improved the processor so the RX100 V can capture 24 frames per second and continuously shoot 150 images before the buffer is full, while in the older generation the numbers are only 16fps and Take 45 pictures.
The final difference is that Sony has integrated an additional LSI processor, which is responsible for handling some of the Bionz X processing power. Sony says that the images will be improved at high ISOs with this processor, which means that photos of low light conditions will be less noise and better color reproduction.

Experience
As mentioned above, the feel of the RX100 V is completely unchanged from previous generations. We still have slippery feeling when holding because Sony not equip grip or long rubber slip in the front. This can be overcome by wearing a wrist strap or buying a third-party knuckle. In addition, the menu layout and buttons are still unchange and not much editing.
The Sony RX100 V focus is excellent, even in darkness. The camera is still very precise with the AF assist lamp. Under bright conditions, the 315-point AF system of the RX100V will not disappoint the user because of its speed and accuracy.
The image quality of the RX100 V improved compared to the previous generation, but not much. We can see clearly with night shots taken at high ISO, no noise. At the same time the details and colors are reproduced very standard, color harmony and without oversaturated phenomenon, the white balance of the machine is accurate. However, due to the noise reduction system working slightly “strong”, high ISO images are often not high definition.
The RX100’s main complaint is the electronic viewfinder. Although it is very sharp and handy in hot weather, it is not very smooth when it comes to low light conditions, just as we have to watch 24 fps (or lower) video while lighting conditions. The bright images on the viewfinder are displayed at 60 fps. This also happens with the main screen.
It should be noted that the RX100 V in particular, and the RX100 is generally a high-end compact computer for users who have a basic knowledge of photography. The reason is because Sony has integrated so many functions into the camera small equal credit card, which makes some people feel “snug” when used for the first time.
