amazon SSD 2.5-inch T-Force Delta Max reviews

The T-Force Delta Max is an SSD without super high read/write speeds, not the most compact, but a beautiful SSD with an RGB LED surface that adorns your rig.

T-Force Delta Max is a 2.5-inch SATA 3 standard SSD; with this size, the manufacturer has given the SSD a unique feature that is a beautiful RGB LED face. Briefly, this is not the first SSD product with LED lights, even less for TeamGroup because it previously had the T-Force Delta line. This “Max” version is a more impressive and beautiful upgrade when the LED system is extended to the top surface of the SSD with 16.8 million-color RGB LEDs.

A quick overview of the box and product, the T-Force Delta Max has a glossy plastic surface covering the entire SSD front. The lamp area ratio is 80% of the surface and almost the entire surface of the SSD.

The box is also quite simple. You will have an SSD and two cables to plug in to use the LEDs:

One cable plugs into the onboard 5V ARGB LED pin. This wire will allow synchronization of the SSD’s LED system with other RGB LED components in the system.

A cable plugs into the USB 2.0 5V standby pin on the motherboard to turn on the LED with the default effect of Rainbow.

So note that your motherboard must have a 5V 3-pin ARBG port (5V ADD Header) to sync the LEDs; otherwise, only the Rainbow effect can be used.

Using SATA 3 interface, on T-Force Delta Max, three ports connect with SATA, power, and micro-USB to use LED. You should also note that this port only has the LED function, not turning the SSD into a portable hard drive.

Inside the box, the manufacturer also has a very observant cleaning cloth because the glossy surface is evenly distributed. Still, the surface of the Delta Max is easy to scratch and dust. There’s also a pretty T-Force logo sticker and an instruction sheet.

In terms of performance, because it uses the SATA 3 interface, it has a limited read/write speed of 560/510 MBps. Inside, the SSD also uses Silicon Motion’s SM2258 controller and Samsung’s 64-layer TLC NAND. The manufacturer sells it with three levels of 256GB/512GB and 1TB.

In terms of temperature, there is no difference between no LED and LED on; according to manual perception, the heat output is warm, and there may be a slight difference but not too significant. That’s why you can safely turn on the LED and use T-Force Delta Max to beautify the case.

In summary, despite being held back by SATA 3 in reading / write performance and relatively high price compared to products in the same storage capacity segment. But this T-Force Delta Max SSD is still a very interesting and beautiful product, well worth the embellishment of your PC case. In general, the read/write speed of the product is still very enough to use without any problems.
