amazon SUPERO C9Z390-CG-IW reviews

Following the success of the C7C370-CG-IW, SuperO has also upgraded its mini-itx version with a version using the Intel Z390 Express Chipset called C9Z390-CG-IW. Strict for server / workstation and integrated gaming philosophy for end users. Especially with its Mini-ITX size, the C9Z390-CG-IW is one of the few compact motherboards to offer the most up-to-date features, including support for the 8th generation Intel Core processors. / 9 (supports up to 120W TDP processor), up to 32GB DDR4-3866 + MHz system memory, integrated AC + BT 5.0 WiFi connection, plus quality components High-level server as socket with 15μ gold plated footstool, memory slot and protected graphics card ….

SuperO C9Z390-CG-IW is a Mini-ITX product but the outer box is about the size of a Micro-ATX motherboard. External design is also fairly simple with only the product name, brand SuperO on a black background. The back of the image is more promotional so that users can preview the specifications, features available on this product.

Overall, the C9Z390-CG-IW is not nearly as different from the previous generation C7Z370-CG-IW that we have reviewed. The C9Z390-CG-IW only carries a number of upgrades and minor changes in product design.

In order to ensure a stable power supply to the processor, the SuperO C9Z390-CG-IW uses a 6 + 1 power supply with a two-stage MosFET arrangement and is heat-dissipated by two slender aluminum slides. Small but very useful compared to the C7Z370-CG-IW with only one blade.

Like all ITX products, due to its spatial nature, users will have only two memory-protected DDR4 memory slots, supporting up to 3866MHz memory or more, memory support for both slots is 32GB.

The SuperO C9Z390-CG-IW comes with 2 Ultra M.2 slots that support Intel Optane, NVMe PCIe SSD and RAID 0 configuration 1. Along with that are four popular SATA connectors.

A very strong hallmark of the server is the BIOS on the main, the socket socket IC design is very common on the Supermicro server / workstation product line. In quite a hole, but quite convenient to fix / replace the BIOS for the product.

Cooler chipset design is quite simple, would be nice if SuperO designed the heat sink for slot M.2 at the chipset. Next to the chipset is a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot for protection of the graphics card.

Similarly, the C9Z390-CG-IW is equipped with an RGB backlight array at the bottom of the PCB.

And finally the I / O connections behind, though still full of standard interfaces today, but with just five available USB ports seemingly still lacking. Most of the existing mouse pads have switched to USB connections, hopefully in the upcoming SuperO versions will remove the traditional PS / 2 port and replace the two USB ports will be more reasonable.
