Design

The most distinctive feature of the Thinksound headphones is that the entire ear canal, from low to high, inear or onear has wood components. Rain3 too. Housing is designed with a layer of wood, a metal part to the tube. The midrange has a medium size so in addition to the user’s foam can also use other types of foam outside.

Part of the downside to Rain3 is the wire. The wire is made quite thin from the ear connector to the wire part, since the wire is thicker. During the early use, this wire seems quite durable, but if the thicker the manufacturer will be more comfortable. Jack is made of “L” cross, anti-folding fold. In general, Rain3 is quite simple design, with emphasis on the characteristic wood.

Sound

The sound of Rain3 is affected quite a lot by the type of ear tip is used. Built-in foam ear is quite hard to wear because of the large input, thick body. When used with smaller suckers or outside suckers, sound quality is best. Speaking of sound quality, Rain2 was originally designed by Aaron Fournier, to create a pair of naturally-sounding headphones that resembles the real life possible. Rain3 still carries this sound philosophy, with a gentle, natural sound, but with good detail to reproduce the sound as real life as possible.

The general sound of Rain3 is slightly dark, slightly warm. One of the factors that make up this is the bass strings. Bass is above average and may be a bit more for those who like clean and bright music. There will be a lot of people arguing about what sounds like to be the most natural, and for Thinksound, it’s a light, dark and warm bass. The sub bass is not too much, not prominent, but slightly spread in the background on the two sides create a background noise and slightly dark. With the Belfast Medley song, the drum sound does not just bounce, it’s not just the mid-bass, it’s also the bass that vibrates constantly in the background. The sub bass is the opposite, playing fairly well and being controlled at one point. The hands in the Belfast song that stretch, punchy and off pretty fast. So Rain3’s bass is quite fun, with a sub bass and rattle to create air and mid bass to be neat, tighter. This bass will fit a lot of music, but will still be a little slow to respond to metal music with high speed drums.

The midrange is made very progressively in the strings, separating it from the bass and treble in the back. The upper bass does not suffer from many bass-bleed phenomena, so the low mid section is more comfortable, not dragged down. The low mid section is quite thick, still warm and quite similar to the general sound. Mid of Rain3 also tends to show more naturally and warmth rather than technical. The male and female voices are quite smooth. The mid-range is obviously not as accurate as the “monitor” headphones, or toward the accuracy, but with a good ear. The high mid up high, not suffering amputation. In Les Courant D’air, Cécile Corbel’s voice was a little sibalance, but only enough to make a point, not a lot. In general, this is a mid-tone of the emotional, smooth, lightly high mid to not be sticky to each other.

Treble Rain3 is quite high, never short of the volume. In some tracks, if the volume is too large, there is a sibalance phenomenon. With all the components are strong, advanced, Rain3 will be most suitable at medium volume. At this volume level, the treble will be softer, the mid is still up and no loss of detail. This is one of the earbuds that encourages users to hear smaller.

As an inear with a closed-loop type in the mid-range, we also do not expect much ultra-wide sound from Rain3. It also made the majority of the playing sound felt in the head. But with the sound is designed to set the edge of the ear, Rain3 is still able to show somewhat, mostly the treble sound. In general, the sound of Rain3 can not be called impressive, but it’s comfortable enough to place sound components and not be too cramped. With a thick headphone, it’s a bit dark.
