If you enjoy and regularly listen to outdoor music using the speakers, you will know that bluetooth is the only choice. Of course, there’s still a wired speaker, but you lose flexibility. Design focused on experience, not many color options
Compared with previous generations, the T6 Plus Upgraded Edition has not changed much in the overall design. Instead, Tronsmart focuses on improving the user experience during daily use.
The upgraded T6 Plus still has a long cylindrical design, but no longer protrudes on the dashboard as before. Not only increases the aesthetics, but this also makes handling easier. The weight of the T6 Plus Upgraded Edition is 750g, which is nearly 100g heavier than the old version (670g), so this change is even more meaningful.
The main material of the speaker is ABS plastic, the plastic we often see on the keyboard keycap, good durability but fingerprints and sweat. BiaReview version is black, and this model Tronsmart includes only two options of black and red, too few for a bluetooth speaker aimed at young users.
Almost covering the entire speaker area is the black driver, the grid design. On the T6 Plus Upgraded Edition, Tronsmart has changed the driver placement, instead of the two drivers facing the same direction as before, they will now create a 360-degree audio experience thanks to the combination with Tronsmart SoundPulse technology. This is expected to make the volume of the upgraded version a bit smaller, but when placed in the middle of a room at a party or gathered around during a picnic, the sound will be transmitted to all listeners more evenly.
The controls on the T6 Plus Upgraded Edition have been slightly tweaked by Tronsmart, the number of buttons has been reduced from 6 to 5, and the tactile response has also been improved, the feel of the compactness and more solid. These include:

The connection ports are protected by a thick and strong rubber layer. According to Tronsmart, the T6 Plus Upgraded Edition is IPX6 water-resistant, so there is no problem with spills water. The USB port is not only for listening to music, but this speaker can also act as a backup charger with a maximum output power of 5W, but the manufacturer recommends not charging and listening to music at the same time to ensure that performance.
Above the roof is the “divine” volume knob of the T6 Plus Upgraded Edition, this time scratched with concentric circles and diamond-cut edges, which looks better than the previous generation. This somewhat “nostalgic” volume control gives a good impression thanks to its small “clicks” and precise rotation feel. The knob can be rotated indefinitely, but at maximum volume, an alarm will sound. Here, users can play/pause music, accept/reject calls or activate the virtual assistant.
Surrounding the knob is a strip of blue LEDs to indicate the status of bluetooth (waiting to connect/connected), users cannot change their color or turn them off. Although not too bright to be annoying, in my opinion, this is still an inconvenience that Tronsmart should fix in the next version.

360-degree sound, powerful bass band
In terms of parameters, T6 Plus Upgraded Edition still has a total capacity of 40W (20W x 2) like its predecessor. Needing more power, you might consider the T6 Max model, but the T6 Plus Upgraded Edition has more than enough power to cover the sound and “buzz” the more than 30m2 room I tested.
The design of the T6 Plus Upgraded Edition is touted as “True 360 °”, with the quality unchanged no matter which side the speaker is facing. In the field test, I can confirm this advertisement is correct, but the design itself has an inherent weakness: the lack of stereo separation. The fix, if you can afford it, is to buy another T6 Plus Upgraded Edition and connect them.
The bass band is the star of the T6 Plus Upgraded Edition, which is quite reasonable with popular segment bluetooth speakers. The power of the bass on this speaker is very impressive, punchy, hip-hop music, and EDM “good” even when used in open space, that is I am just in equalizer. Deep Bass strengthens the bass even further, but will cause buzzing and encroach on other bands, only suitable if you are a real “basshead”.
Focus on bass, but T6 Plus Upgraded Edition still shows other genres quite well. The ability to express the vocals of this speaker is highly appreciated.
The treble band of T6 Plus Upgraded Edition is round, not too special. The high notes are not dazzling, the instrument is well separated, has a good degree of vibrancy but lacks the highlight, generally still only serves as an adjunct to the bass range. The soundstage of this speaker is not too wide, and the 3D mode does not improve much.
If using this speaker to play games, T6 Plus Upgraded Edition mainly hits the level of “refreshing”. Gunshots, bombs, and vehicles in Battlefield 5 are vividly reproduced, but you won’t be able to locate your opponents with gunshots, in other words, don’t offer any advantage in gaming.
The battery life of the T6 Plus Upgraded Edition is pretty average. 2 built-in 3300mAh batteries provide a practical life of about 14 hours of continuous music playback at 50% volume level, connected via bluetooth 5.0, still comfortable for a picnic. The charging speed is quite fast, using the 15W charger, the speaker is full of battery in less than 3 hours.
