Design

Urbanista stands out with its extremely simple yet sophisticated design that is still eye-catching and youthful. Boston is not too colorful or has special designs but still has its own substance. The earpiece is rounded and bulb-shaped, lightweight and has two protrusions to mount the “wings”. The company also has a variety of wings with different sizes for users to choose the right size for their ears. The outside of the housing is built into the magnet so that users can not hear it can stick together for neat.

The song transfer, call receiver, microphone volume control is located on the right ear, also made of copper color with housing.

Instead of putting the battery and the charging port on the microphone, the company placed the device in a separate, fairly large enclosure and also incorporated a white light to indicate the condition of the headset.

Boston is equipped with IPX5 waterproof standards, so users are also comfortable to wear when exercising, or for a long time to wash clean. The ears have a lot of color options like black, purple, red, blue, banana blue, neon yellow.

Experience

Boston has a hybrid design between Earbud and Inear, which improves the ability to wear, stick to the Earbud but not too tight on the ear as Inear. The ears are also so resistant to stopping at the midrange level, not fitting the ears more well. In return, the comfort is also very high, very suitable for long-term exercise. Boston’s continuous playing time was about 6 hours, not too little but not too impressive. I used the second to the middle of the seventh saw the battery out and have to plug the charger, so this is not a pair of headphones lasted a week. But the recharge time of the ear is extremely fast, only 1 hour instead of 2 hours as the earphones have a similar playing time.

The company has also added bass to Boston so that users do not feel this part is missing. Bass is not very deep, there is a roll off phenomenon when playing down a certain frequency in the sub bass. Sub bass is moderate, not much, playing light and focused at a point should not make much impression. Most bass is played mid bass, this part is much improved. Trying with Pentatonix’s Take on Me, Beatbox drum beat is clearly shown, with a ton of force and tension. This bass, though not as resilient as a pair of earbuds, is thick enough and warm enough to not turn Boston into a pair of bass-less.

Boston’s most striking stripe is the midrange, and also the strings that the Urbanista’s earbuds do quite well. Mid does not move straight into the head of the listener, with a slight backward but with enough detail to be always clear. As a general sound, the vocalist played from Boston is slightly dressed and light. Try the Chosmokers’ Boston Closer for a slightly more gentle, more vocal, slightly louder tone, so it’s a bit more airy than usual. This midtone back also has a slight weakness in listening to very low energy, so listen to some fast-paced Pop songs that are not as fast as those with faster headphones. On the other hand, the slow, spooky songs of female singer Christy Baron are played very well, natural, warm, thick. Mid of Boston is quite natural, sweet enough and not electronic, so it plays a lot of different types of music, best in slow jazz, slow vocals such as Spooky mentioned above. The sibalance of course is very well controlled because the high mid section is played roll off when played high to a certain frequency.

High tone of Boston is not very good. The amount of treble is not much, and can be said to be less than the pair of wireless headsets in the same price range of $100. The way to play treble is not too much to say, being rolled off a bit early to be able to create accents, metal need to have. Treble can be said to stop at a good enough level to make the background, honoring the bass and mid head of the headset, can not please the treble-head, or beat the other pair of headphones on the reputation of this range.

Although a new company, Urbanista’s wireless headset technology is perfect, so Boston does not suffer from latency and noise, providing a good viewing experience. Combined with the ability to wear comfortable anymore, Boston is a pair of multimedia headphones are not bad at all.
