Design

From the outbreak of late-night wireless headsets to the launch of the Apple iPhone 7, most of these pair of earphones are Onear or Inear. Rome is a “black sheep” of the wireless ear market, a pair of Earbuds designed similar to the Apple Earbud.

The ear piece is small, with rubber padding to fit the ear better. The company also donated a more foam wing to insert into the ear, for those with larger ears. The two sides of the ear are integrated magnet on the outside, when not using the user can stick them together to create a fashion necklace!

The battery and controls of the ear are put into a necklace, with a very plastic design. The resin used is quite similar to Seattle’s, extremely smooth, high-grade feel. On the right side of the neck we have a micro USB charging port and three button music and volume controls. The necklace also includes a microphone so that people can talk without having to take the phone out of the pocket.

Experience

With a large necklace, Rome has a large battery and is also very impressive, up to 16 hours! This is the length of one wireless Onear headset, far beyond any Inear or Earbud pair. If used normally, Rome can stay for up to 2 weeks, and when the battery expires, users only need to charge for 2,5 hours to use it. Long usage time is a big plus for this pair of earphones.

Rome is Earbud but there is no shortage in the bass strings. Perhaps notice the weakness of the Earbud design so Urbanista also added a bit of volume in this section to avoid shortages. Rome bass is average, just enough to listen but not too. Urbanista’s headphones have a youthful design, aimed at younger users but do not have a pair for the V-shape, hitting too hard on the bass strings. Rome’s bass is quite thick, but nothing can beat physics, this pair of earphones can not get as thick and powerful bass as Inear ears are. Sub down to a level that will roll off so deep not to the lowest notes, but also the impression of an pair of Earbuds like this. The bass of the ear is more in the mid bass, serving the drum sound in pop, ballad. The drum sounds in Sister Rosetta goes before us thick, clear bass round but not spread over the two sides. The speed of the bass is not fast, but just enough to not turn Rome into a pair of bassy ears, not sticking to the vocalist or main instrument of the song.

Mid of Rome is very close, almost right near the ears of the listener. Again Rome breaks the stereotype of the user about Earbud earphones. Because of the design of the diaphragm, the earbud earphones have a midrange, as in Rome. Like the general sound, the singer is quite warm. The sound is slightly more resilient than the sound, so the mid does not give the feeling of certainty that it is slightly bay, gentle and quite easy to hear. Mid of Rome can be called the color scheme, so its authenticity is not very high. But Cécile Corbel’s Celtic music, like Jenovefa, is also very comfortable. Alison Krauss’s voice in If I give my heart a warm, warm and very smooth voice. The high mid section is made to roll off early, which also influences the high soprano voice, but also because sibalance does not happen. In general, those who prefer slow, sweet and smooth voices will not be disappointed by Rome.

The point that this pair of shortage is in the treble. The amount of treble rebuilt on average, not much. The treble is also quite light, with the roll off slightly early to create a sense of light and cold metal. This is probably the general sound of the Urbanista earphones, they do not want to make the treble too sharp to make the sound easier to hear, avoiding any sibalance of the song.

Like Urbanista’s other earphones, Rome is using the new wireless standard, designed to be very short, acceptable for use in movies and video. Maybe we do not need to talk about this anymore, the current wireless headset has caught up with the technology so that the delay is not inferior to wired headphones, we can completely use them to replace completely wired to use multi-purpose, multimedia.

Summary

These headphones feature a simple design, comfortable fit, comfortable sound quality and top-of-the-moment performance. But we also have to accept some minor weaknesses such as earphones that do not have water resistance standards, and the sound treble does not leave much impression. This is a pretty interesting pair, which you should try!
