Shoe’s body
One reason I like Crazy Explosive and Adidas knit shoes, in general, is because they don’t use the old design. This design started with KD 8 Elite and Hyperdunk 2016 Elite (Flyknit) and many other Nike running shoes and training shoes. By now, Adidas and Under Armor have also started to follow this trend. This type of design is very compact but makes it difficult to get in and out.
The combined score of CE 2017 is a very short and neat topline. Combined with this design is Forged Primeknit material, which increases wool’s certainty, which is quite weak. Like Forged Mesh, Fused Mesh, Adidas uses hot molds to harden the surface of the shoes in key locations. The result is a sturdy outer body, soft inside as well as unique shaping.
The wiring is also more complete, with five holes in the higher position and ten fixed cords on each side. That helps create a stable grip as well as minimize the need for shoelaces.
Midsole
Boost cushions are still in use, and there is almost no difference in thickness, shape, or quality in general. However, Boost’s plastic wrap looks much larger, helping to reduce the ability to flip. In the Crazy Explosive review, I mentioned the slightly odd heels of Crazy Explosive.
Outsole
Crazy Explosive’s 100% reusable design, a rarely seen thing of Adidas. This coral base offers a stable multidirectional grip, but Crazy Explosive’s rubber material is too soft. Soft to the using indoor level also makes your shoes peel off part. If Adidas uses harder rubber for the 2017 version, this is worth an upgrade.
