amazon Doss SoundBox Pro reviews
On the front we also have a range of technologies of accompanying speakers. Next to us will have detailed information about the characteristics of the product and specifications, manufacturer information.
Open the box and we will have a Doss SoundBox Pro, the version we have here is black. At the bottom of the box we will have:
– 1 USB charger cord
– 1 3.5mm 2X AUX cable to connect directly to the source is a phone or a player
– 1 user manual
We do not have the charger attached, this is understandable because Doss SoundBox Pro can share the charger with the phone charger, to save costs for customers, Doss has boldly removed this part.
DESIGN AND FEATURES
As in the previous section, I said that there is something quite familiar on this design, until I hold it in my hand, it’s obvious. Doss SoundBox Pro has a design inspired by Sony’s EXTRABASS line of speakers. Just like other current smartphone vendors taking Apple’s iPhone as the benchmark, perhaps the same thing happens with Doss. Doss SoundBox Pro has the total design features of the entire EXTRABASS line. With the square body of a Sony SRS-XB30 or Sony SRS-XB40 but the front is designed in the style of Sony SRS-XB20 with white opaque RGB led strips running around the sound grid. In my opinion, this design is quite beautiful, there is nothing to blame. Learning to improve yourself is a thing to do.
Just like on the XB30, the entire body of the Doss SoundBox Pro is covered with rough rubber that increases grip and water resistance. Doss SoundBox Pro’s water resistance is IPX5 compliant, meaning you can leave the Doss SoundBox Pro in the rain without worrying about the speaker being damaged.
The feeling of grip and finish on the Doss SoundBox Pro is very good, the best of the Doss speakers I’ve used before.
The upper part we will have control buttons. These buttons feel rather bouncing, good feedback.
The back side is also an additional grille, which is a passive grille for passive sound dispersion that improve the bass range. Open the cover, we will have 3.5mm connection ports, Micro USB charging port, Reset button and especially a Micro SD card slot.
Keeping the Micro SD card slot means that Doss SoundBox Pro will support independent music playback via external memory without requiring any other connection. This feature will be extremely useful when your phone is out of battery or you want to use Doss SoundBox Pro as a true music player.
Doss SoundBox Pro has EXTRA BASS function. You are not mistaken. This feature has exactly the same name as the feature on Sony’s speakers, it allows to significantly improve the amount of Bass on the speaker, this part we will experience later.
Another great feature that is only available in high-end speakers, is the Stereo Pairing feature. This feature allows you to pair 2 Doss SoundBox Pro into 1 mini sound system, for a more open and vivid sound experience.
The LED light on the Doss SoundBox Pro is also very well done. There are up to 6 different colors and 2 lighting modes: flashing to the music or a fixed color, this will increase the feeling of excitement as well as make the speaker in the dark more beautiful. If you don’t like the color, you can also turn off the light through the button on the body.
Battery life on Doss SoundBox Pro is also quite impressive, up to 12 hours of continuous music play, enough to rock all day.

EXPERIENCE AND SOUND
Testing in a large room of about 20m2, Doss SoundBox Pro gives a sound quality beyond my expectations. I have also used the SRS-XB20 model until the new SRS-XB21 model, the volume on Doss SoundBox Pro is very large. The volume is not inferior to the Sony speaker models. The sound when turning on the max volume is also not broken, like other cheap speakers. As for sound quality, I have some comments as follows:
About the bass range: Doss SoundBox Pro’s bass has a moderate force, has depth. When the EXTRA BASS feature was turned on, the bass improved markedly. Bass beat and bounce more, very suitable for listening to exciting EDM. Obviously, the design of two passive radiators on both the front and the back like on the speakers of SONY has helped Doss SoundBox Pro have more impressive Bass than its previous products.
About mid range: The sound of Doss SoundBox Pro mid is not submerged in Bass. Although sometimes, in the music with fast tempo, much bass, there is still a slight phenomenon of Bass encroaching but still acceptable. When listening to soothing Pop Ballad songs, Doss SoundBox Pro performed well, the mid sound was thick and warm. Overall details are quite good, can not ask for higher in the price range of Doss SoundBox Pro.
About the treb strip: This is the faintest sound strip on Doss SoundBox Pro, with Doss had to sacrifice this sound range for the remaining 2 sound bands. Treble is very gentle, heavy roll-off. Only a little bit of the low-treb section is enough to make the background for the music. So contraindicated to listen to Rock on Doss SoundBox Pro.
Overall, the sound quality of Doss SoundBox Pro is aimed at the common users with thick, warm, good bass. It will be suitable for lively music genres, soothing Pop Ballad music, not too strict about the Trebble strip.
