Design
V8S is a circular design, popular in the market today. The striking feature of the exterior design of this product is that the upper surface of the silver-plated pseudosphere is smooth and has a small, black-coated flap that produces a dramatic, opaque look.
The buttons on the surface of the robot look quite elegant and simple. These buttons are made of plastic but do not feel creaky, quite bounce and light.
The keypad on the black surface of the vacuum cleaner has a small LED display for hours, running modes and an error message if you suddenly lift the V8S in mid-air while running or when the robot stuck to the mats, for example. The content displayed on the LED display is clear and easy to see.
Like the other round robin mopeds, the V8s also feature a frontal impact sensor that helps the robot change its direction when touching walls or objects in the home.
The bottom of the product is similar to the version of iLife V7S that was previously evaluated. In the middle is the manufacturer’s technical specs indicating that the robot runs 19V = 0.6A, which is manufactured and assembled in China.
The two sides have two large wheels and are the main moving wheel of the robot. The two wheels are independent of each other, combined with the multi-directional wheel that allows the robot to move flexibly. The dustbin of the machine is also underneath, easily removable.
The difference from previous versions was that the robot’s vacuum was placed inside the dust container and used to vacuum cleaner rather than the broom type as conventional vacuum cleaners.

The experience of using
ILife V8S is an automatic vacuum cleaner with many features. However, the experience of using this robot is extremely easy: put the robot down, press “Play” button and V8S will automatically wipe the house for you.
V8S has lots of modes for you to experiment with. By simply pressing the Play button, the V8S will operate in automatic mode. This is the automatic mode to find the way, wiping all positions in the house and also the mode recommended manufacturers.
The buttons on the camera body can be used to activate other modes. The Path Mode button under the Play button will cause the robot to move in zigzag mode, the robot will use the algorithm to save the path.
Above the Play button, the far right is Point Mode, which allows the robots to focus on swirling at a certain point. When the robot runs out of battery, or when you want the V8S to stop working, the Home button will let the robot find its way to the dock for automatic charging.
To use more features, you need to have control. On the controller, you can activate the Border Mode, only scans around the room such as the wall, the door, the table, the chair. If you want to adjust the position of the V8S, first you need to “pause” on the controller and then use 3 navigation buttons. Navigation feature
In practical experience, Path Mode is more convenient because the iLife robot will move systematically around the house, clinging to objects on the floor to clean.
Auto Mode is quite difficult to understand because the robot will move a random way. If observed, in this mode V8S moves quite to the walls, the door, the table edge ….. The possibility of missing the main area of the room is quite high, not to mention looks active Such randomness would probably be more costly.

In general, we found Path Mode to be the most suitable for the house. In all modes, V8S can avoid obstacles quite effectively as well as avoid … fall stairs. Ability to clean

Battery life
The battery capacity of the V8S announced by the manufacturer is 2600mAh. In our experience, if you turn on Auto mode, the robot will run … until it runs out of battery. But in Path Mode, the V8S will clean the room 25m2 science in about half an hour. Again, you can confirm that this is the reason to always choose Path Mode when used.
In total, the V8S can operate within 3 hours. When the “clean” room is cleaned, the robot will automatically find its way to the charging cradle, so if you use only one room / floor area, the battery life will not the problem.
Machine noise is <68dB as announced by the manufacturer. In practice, this noise is enough to hear, but not as uncomfortable as conventional vacuum cleaners.
Summary
Just considering the need for an automatic robot vacuum cleaner, the ILife V8S will not disappoint you. But iLife has not stopped at this feature, it brings users some interesting features such as home cleaning or remote control. Some of the other features are superfluous, such as the “Border Mode” or “Spot” mode.
Considering the relatively inexpensive generic price of the vacuum cleaner, at a price of less than $950, we think the ILife V8S is really a viable option.
