Design and finish
The body and lid of the IdeaPad 5 Pro are made from monolithic aluminum, so even though the device is quite thin, it is still extremely sturdy and solid. There is almost no flex or creaking condition on the machine. This is a point that we appreciate.
Flexible hinge mechanism, high stability, can open and close the lid easily with one hand. The screen has an anti-glare layer and a very thin bezel. There is a top edge of the screen with a “rabbit ear” notch but it is raised, equipped with a 720p webcam and IR face recognition. This notch also forms a ledge for you to grasp when opening the lid.
The power button is separated from the keyboard, there is no one-touch fingerprint reader. The keyboard has quite large keys, and the NumPad cluster supports many number-related jobs. The key travel is not long, but the response is quite good.
Next is the base. Here, you won’t find a fingerprint reader, but on the bright side, the power button is separated from the keyboard. Also, the keycaps look pretty big (including the Arrow keys) and there’s a NumberPad to play with. On the other hand, the key travel is a bit shallow, although the response is quite clicky. CPU and GPU Performance
Regarding the processor options we have: Ryzen 5 5600H, Ryzen 7 5800H, and Ryzen 9 5900HX.

Temperature and cooling system
In the stress test, we push CPU performance to 100% on all cores, thereby monitoring the clock rate and temperature, over time and the weight of the tasks.
Even though High-Performance mode is enabled from the BIOS, this laptop model still cannot maintain the base clock speed of Ryzen 7-5800H for a long time.
Overall, the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro is still good at fighting games, in addition, the highest temperature on the keyboard surface is 45 degrees Celsius. Users can feel the heat, but not too hot.
