Design
This is an upgraded version of the Mee Connect, which adds new capabilities for Bluetooth connectivity. The Connect Hub uses Bluetooth v4.2, but not the latest, it is powered by the Qualcomm apt-X standard to boost audio performance by compressing high-definition music, and the Qualcomm apt-X Low Latency to reduce latency, suitable for watching movies and gaming.
The wires contained in the Mee Connect Hub box include 3.5mm – 3.5mm, 3.5mm – RCA, micro USB power cord (no battery, not portable) and Optical . Optical ports will provide the highest quality, but most users will use a 3.5mm or RCA port.
The accessories in the box are quite complete.
The main product is quite small, with only a box of mint. There are four buttons to control the power, Bluetooth, connection mode and Gain.

The product portals include a micro USB port, 2 optical and 3.5mm analog inputs for each input and output channel.
To switch between the Transmitter mode (Bluetooth transmitter for TVs, computers) and the Receiver (receiver for speakers and headphones), you have a flip on the side.
Unlike the Connect first, the Connect Hub has a small, foldable antenna to boost broadcast quality. This product can transmit / receive signals within a radius of 30 meters, which is up to 3 times that of conventional smartphones and headsets. Of course, to get the best connection quality, you should place the Connect Hub in an open area, free of walls or other interference-absorbing materials.
Experience
After a week of experiencing this product, I can wrap my review with two words ‘intuitive’ and ‘effective’. The connection to the wireless products is fast, with just two buttons, the power button and Bluetooth. The connection speed of the Connect Hub is quite fast, so you can turn off the headphones are used to save power, but when needed, can turn on and after 5 seconds have connected and started using.
The Connect Hub’s wireless connection is good enough to ‘cross the wall’ and in the open, it can broadcast stably in a 20m radius. But the connectivity also depends heavily on headphones and speakers as well. I tried with old pair of handsets, not support apt-X and use old Bluetooth, the connection distance is not far, as well as dropped. But when used with new headphones such as Urbanista New York or Grado GW100, the situation is quite contradictory, keeping the connection even more sure than using with smartphone.
Delay of the Connect Hub is also noted by the company, equipped with the technology apt-X LL. Of course, this product is made for use with TVs to watch movies and play games, so if there is latency then it will not be accept!
Theoretically, the audio quality of the optical port will be higher than that of the 3.5mm port, because the signal must pass through fewer electrons. But on the practical use, I find the difference is not too large, simply because the quality of sound to the user’s ears depends a lot on the headphones and speakers too. The Connect Hub also has a neat feel, with no added distortion to the headphones. This is an advantage because you can choose the type of sound you like by choosing a headset, without worrying about the source.

Epilogue
Compared with other wireless solutions available on the market, Mee Audio Connect Hub has a higher price (about $100), but also a more dedicated product for audio and video games. With its easy-to-use interface and stable audio quality (with apt-X and apt-X LL), this is a worthwhile product for those who ‘regret’ their headsets and high-end wired speakers.
