MSI Pro X670-P Wifi

Unlike the MEG series, which targets high-end users with exorbitant prices, the MPG series, which still boasts top-of-the-line features, or the MAG series, which aims at mid-range gamers, the Pro series is usually “given the opportunity” by MSI to office workers or mainstream gamers.

However, surprisingly, MSI did not release any MAG series products in this new product launch. Instead, the MSI Pro X670-P Wifi has become the new mid-range motherboard using the X670 chipset with incredible quality, far surpassing the previous generation MSI X570 A PRO.

Nevertheless, some elements of the PRO series are retained in this motherboard, such as the extremely simple packaging in black with striped lines and the PRO Series logo, reflecting the new design philosophy of this product line.

On the back, as usual, there are several notable technologies equipped on the motherboard, most notably the inclusion of Wifi-6E and USB 3.2 Gen2x2 technology with speeds up to 20Gbps, previously only found on high-end motherboards.

Upon unboxing, it’s easy to see that the design language of the MSI Pro X670-P Wifi has also undergone some changes, with more heatsinks for the M.2 Shield Frozr slots, and larger heatsinks for the VRM area, unlike the previous version which was simply “bare.”

The new generation mid-range motherboard offers more available space than the high-end MSI MEG X670E ACE through its M.2 PCIe Gen 4 SSD installation areas. The PCIe slots for graphics cards receive protection through SMT welding technology which strengthens their structural integrity. This design enables users to operate heavy graphics cards such as the MSI RX 6750 XT Gaming X Trio without any concerns about damaged contact pins.

The MSI Pro X670-P Wifi motherboard includes standard PCIe 4.0 16x slots which only provide equivalent performance to previous X570 generations. X670E motherboards with PCIe 5.0 16x slots for graphics cards offer superior performance compared to the MSI Pro X670-P Wifi motherboard.

The upcoming high-end NVIDIA RTX 40 Series graphics cards will operate on PCIe 4.0 because there is no impact on graphics card performance for the upcoming time period.

You will not find any graphics cards which can completely take advantage of this next-generation connection standard during the next few years.

The motherboard main M.2 slot maintains its PCIe 5.0 support through this design.

The AORUS Gen5 10000 ultra-high-speed drive achieves smooth operation without bandwidth problems because of its sequential read speed capacity which reaches 12GBps.

The user experience for gamers remains mostly unchanged after MSI Pro X670-P Wifi removed its PCIe 5.0 16x slot.

This motherboard from MSI X670 supports DDR5 memory through its memory slots which enable users to overclock their memory up to 7000MHz while using both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP technologies for memory overclocking.

The new AMD Ryzen 7000 Series CPUs require users to have AM5 platform with ultra-fast RAM because the CPUs need this RAM to operate at their maximum speed of 5.4GHz.

The MSI Pro X670-P Wifi power supply system provides outstanding performance through its dual-channel 14+2+1 power supply configuration which includes Smart Power Stage. This system can handle currents up to 80A through its dual 8-pin CPU power connectors.

The system provides tremendous performance which approaches the power of MSI X570 Godlike 14+4 power supply system that represents the most advanced configuration for the earlier X570 generation.

MSI’s mid-range motherboard provides superior features when compared to ASUS ROG Strix X670E-I Gaming Wifi motherboard which uses X670E chipset.

The MSI Pro X670-P Wifi supports both AMD Ryzen 5 7600x mid-range CPUs and all high-end AMD Ryzen 7000 Series CPUs which users expect to find in top-tier processors.

The motherboard provides a guaranteed solution for users who need to operate high-end CPUs and graphics cards throughout their daily activities.

The PRO product line from MSI Pro X670-P Wifi offers more advanced functions than its basic features, which makes it better than equivalent motherboard options.

The product fails to provide essential components because it lacks both screwless connectors and Shield Frozr integrated heatsinks for PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots and insect and electronic interference protection for I/O ports.

The motherboard now supports fewer high-speed USB ports, yet users can still access Wi-Fi 6E and 2.5G LAN which serve as premium connections that deliver dependable high-speed networking.

The motherboard provides HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports which enable users to transmit video signals from AMD Ryzen 7000 Series CPUs through their integrated graphics.

This solution works well for systems which need only basic graphics capabilities and for users who seek temporary solutions during their graphics card failures.

The MSI Pro X670-P Wifi serves as a basic X670 chipset motherboard which removes systems that the market currently does not need and delivers modern technological improvements and user advantages. The motherboard provides a solid base for high-end gaming PC systems which support current top-tier CPUs and GPUs through its PCIe 4.0 16x slot and strong power delivery system despite the absence of a PCIe 5.0 16x graphics card slot.
