After launching at CES 2017, the upgrade of Panasonic Lumix GH4 model called GH5 has been brought Panasonic to market. This is a non-flip camera with Micro Four Thirds (M4 / 3) sensor, focusing on video recording capabilities.
The Panasonic Lumix GH5 has a compact design that shoots 4K video at 60 frames per second.
Compared with the previous generation launched in 2014, GH5 is upscaling up to 20 megapixels, combining the Venus Engine processor to increase the detail of the recording, eliminating the noise interference. ISO range of machine from 100 up to 25,600.
Panasonic’s new camera uses the Depth from Defocus technology, which enables focus of up to 225 AF points, combined with contrast control to capture twice as fast as the Lumix GH4. 5-axis anti-shake technology also appears on GH5.
The most impressive feature of the Lumix GH5 is the ability to record 4K video at 60 frames per second or Full HD resolution at 180 fps with no time limitation. Data will be stored via two SD card slots.
The overall design of Lumix GH5 is not much different from GH4. The device owns a 3.2 inch flip flip touch screen, 3.6 million pixel OLED electronic viewfinder. The Lumix GH5 also comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
Panasonic’s new camera sold in market for over $2000. Optional Lumix GH5 with 12-60mm lens costs $3200 and $3500 with a 12-35mm lens.
