Open the box

Like the previous PBH necklace headphones, the PWE-100 also has a simple box type and is not too cumbersome. The front has a number of outstanding parameters, including Hifi drivers, Bluetooth 5.0, charging box that can be fully charged 4 times.

The back has instructions for controlling the button located on the headset, including stopping playing music, controlling the voice and taking calls.

The ear accessory includes 2 pairs of rubber cushions and a USB Type-C charging cord. The switch to USB Type-C headphones is a big advantage, helping users who already have a new generation smartphone simplify charging.

Design

Partron has experience producing necklace headphones, so what about its completely wireless earphones? According to me assessment, it is at a good level, not really outstanding.

The charging case and earphone are both made of plastic, tough, not ugly and scratchy glossy plastic. The box is very small, with the lid held on by a very sure pin. The box is small, but it can also be charged up to 4 times in total, with up to 6 hours of use for up to 30 hours of use!

The USB Type-C charging port is located on the back.

The point that the company will still have to upgrade in the future is the design of the headset, because the PWE-100, although certainly, is very comfortable to wear, but it is not very eye-catching. My version is black, with the text and control rings made of copper. The buttons of the earphone are not seamless 1 block, which is divided into 2 loops does not feel so ‘luxurious’! Perhaps the white version will be more beautiful, but I still think the company was able to do better at the design!

Technical data

– Dynamic HF drivers

– Reaching the frequency of 38kHz Hi-res standard

– Bluetooth 5.0 with Qualcomm apt-X

– Duration of playing music (ear): 6 hours

– Duration of playing music (combined with charging box): 30 hours

Practical experience

The biggest advantage of the PBH-300, PBH-400 is the excellent connection quality. I still remember in an offline session, Partron demonstrated the use of headphones through the wall, placing the source and headphones in two rooms separated by a wall but still able to play music normally.

The good news is that the PWE-100 also has good connectivity. The headset uses Bluetooth 5.0, so once successfully connected to the smartphone, it never drops, for a seamless experience. I also tested the use of PWE-100 from a wall power source, and surprisingly, headphones can still do that! The latency is also very well controlled, without any complaints here!

Partron has a very unique sound quality, which is gentle and ‘smooth’, has been successfully applied in all 4 previous PBH versions. This ‘almost’ sound quality is applied by Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V to the PWE-100 pair, except for a single specific sound range.

The bass part of the PWE-100 has just enough volume, leaning more towards less. In return, we have an expression that certainly will have many people feel like. The background drum in Sia’s Chandelier plays extremely neatly, only showing up strongly and punchy then almost interrupting immediately, accompanied by not being stuck to the background. This song is great for V-shape headphones that are damaged with too thick bass and encroaching on the vocals, whereas the song is well performed on PWE-100 – a sign that this is a pair of headphones It’s not bad at all.

What stands out on the Partron headsets in general and even the PWE-100 is still the middle range. Because there is no space for expressing with bass bands, so although the mid of Partron PWE-100 is not too close to the listener, it is always easy to hear and clear. This is not the most prominent middle voice on the market, because everything is so natural and neutral, but this is probably its strong point!

The weakness of the headset, which also makes me quite unfortunate in the PWE-100 sound quality located in the treble – is the range that PBH pairs do quite well. This sound was cut off quite early, only reached a certain threshold then completely lost, not just being slightly rolled-off like other pairs of headphones. The treble’s melting speed is also quite fast, so create ‘rustling’ sounds in Miracle – Above & Beyond, while this song has a very nice and chime bell. This is the point that the company must pay close attention to the next PWE-200 version.

Summary

There are quite a few things to like about the Partron PWE-100 pair, this pair combines good quality, great connectivity of the previous PBH products, along with a good sound quality.

But with the situation of TWS wireless headphones at a price of less than $100 is too good today, the PWE-100 is not perfect: the ears are still quite simple, the button needs to be changed into touch, no volume up, switch and treble is quite weak. Hopefully in next year’s PWE-200, Partron will be able to overcome all of these points to create a more comprehensive TWS pair.

Advantages

– Complete rigid, comfortable wearing

– There is notification vibration on the ear

– Bluetooth 5.0 connection is very solid

– The latency is almost zero

– Battery life is good

Defect

– The design is not really eye-catching

– No touch control is available

– The treble is quite weak, needs improvement
