Bass
As has traditionally been the case, the midrange and lower Sennheiser CX midrange earphones have quite a bit of bass, and sometimes a bit too much. For example, the Sennheiser CX200 is one of the earphones hard to hear for me because of too much bass, just bass! Up to CX300, CX300 II bass is more stable, the volume is still a lot. And when the Sennheiser CX500 (a line has been dead for quite a long time), the bass was okay, enough volume and good control. CX 1.00 may be between CX300 and CX500. The bass of this new headset is full, but the volume is pretty good. Bass is round, bouncing and focused in mid bass. The Mojave song is very well presented in the bass section! The bass of CX 1.00 is pushed very close to the head, very easy to recognize. Although round and volume but still can not call good speed, some genre need bass fast CX 1.00 may not be able to perform well. Bass CX 1.00 performs better in pop songs, newer ballads than rock or classic.
Sub bass down quite deep, still keep the round bounce not overflow. But the sub bass still looks a little “gentle” not tight and harsh.
Mid
The midrange and low midrange of the Sennheiser medium is usually dark and warm. This is in the Inear line CX, IE and HD line are quite right. CX 1.00 is still like CX300 and CX500. Dark, thick, warm and there is something not escaped. Actually I do not expect much in low-level products to play the vocal perfectly. The singer’s vocals on the CX 1.00 are pretty much subdued so it’s easy to hear, easy to enjoy and of course there is not a bit of sib. Treble
Sennheiser had a fondness for the low CX line when adding a bit of treble at 1.00. The amount of treble has improved over the CX200 a lot, maybe more than the CX300 a bit, but really to say that much is not much. Set the scale from 1 to 10, the amount of treble CX 1.00 somewhere in the 6, 6.5. The amount of treble but still not completely good.
Conclude
CX 1.00 is considered as a “key” product to reconcile many products in the low life CX. Design changes a bit, sound quality does not change much, just add a little knot. My favorite thing at CX 1.00 and lots of other Sen earphones is the warmth, fullness! You can do any song but still have the feeling that music is full of mind, very gentle, easy to enjoy.
