amazon Soul SL150 reviews

The SL150 is a midrange earphone from Soul by Ludacris, one of the emerging headphones in the international market, possessing good sound quality and stylish design as the Beats by Dre.

Design

Soul by Ludacris SL150 is completely different from the traditional headset, simple but fashionable design and not easily confused with fellow Beats by Dr. Dre is already so popular in the domestic market.

Prominent right in front of the user is the S logo and the word Soul is placed in the center of the ear. The ear cushions are made of synthetic leather with elasticity and high durability. The look of the Soul SL150 is enhanced when the manufacturer adds two shiny metallic borders, wrapped around the headband. However, the glossy black SL150 is prone to dirty, fingerprints and need soft wipes are required for cleaning.

The Soul SL150 features a seamless design, which is simply because less articulated couplings resemble most of the same headphones on the market. However, the product is still very flexible and comfortable to use. The aperture can be adjusted to aperture made from thin steel and hid inside. The quality of the Soul SL150 is very good when the user can easily straighten or fold without causing the headset to break, but can still return to the original position.

The comfort of listening to music is also something that Soul’s headphones aim for. The SL150 feels good for several hours in a row, and does not cause fatigue due to severe pressure or ear pain due to being squeezed too tightly into the head. The ear piece is moderately sized with an elliptical shape, which embraces the entire ear of the wearer. Pins near the two earplugs allow the user to fold and fold the headset for storage in a neat compact case. The mattress pads on the inside are covered in thick, smooth leather, yet soft and light, giving a comfortable, even long sound, while still offering good sound insulation.

The headset cable is designed to be pulled out and neatly fitted with a gold-plated 3.5mm jack on the left ear. Another noteworthy feature is the slim rubber-plated Soul SL150 cable, which does not get tangled up even when it is backed up. The 3.5 mm plug connects to gold-plated mobile devices to ensure the best audio transmission, and is L-shaped instead of straight as usual, helping to avoid folding and breaking cables.

Each SL150 headset comes with 2 strings, a slick and a built-in microphone and controls for use with the phone. For the iPhone, this controller can be used to adjust the volume, control music identical to the headset attached to Apple machines. In addition, Soul also bundled a headset with a hard case, stowed headphones and cables inside for travel.

Sound

To test the sound, the Soul SL150 headset is used with the Apple iPhone 5 via a 3.5 mm jack and uses music from iTunes, in the ACC 256 kbps format, without running through the head-amp.

The first choice was Cee Lo Green’s Forget You hit, a rapper like Ludacris. The sound of the SL150 was initially overwhelming to show the vibrancy of the drums. The high tone of Cee Lo Green is quite clear in, smooth and not harsh. Switching to Only Girl by Rihana and On the Floor by J.Lopez, Soul SL150 shows the ability to perform soft bass, moderate, emotional enough but not as overflowing Beats.

After fast and powerful rhythms, the SL150 is packed with songs from Hotel Califonia by Yao Si Ting, MP3 format 320 Kbps. With a slower, lighter rhythm, Soul’s headphones still show strengths in their ability to perform bass. The prelude to the song with strong beat and good beat. However, when the appearance of the guitar sound, the SL150 feels the sound is sticky and slightly lose details. The ability to express the space of the headset is not very impressive, lack depth and create a bit dark.

In general, the sound quality that the model delivers is good compared to the price of the instrument. With its youthful and stylish design, it’s no wonder that, Soul SL150 is a mix of R & B, pop, rock and electronic music with young people.
