amazon BOSE SOUNDLINK MICRO reviews
Bose – a well – known American brand for it’s high-end and luxury computer speakers. Recently, the company has focused on the mobile segment, launching compact products to fit many customers. One of new products that represents this movement is the utltra – compact Soundlink Micro. The box is not too big with simple design. The back include a few introductions about the product along with a picture of the speaker underwater, we can guess the speaker will have a certain waterproof standards.
The speaker is neatly placed inside the box. The Soundlink Micro is available in three colors: black, dark blue and the most highlight: orange. The accessory includes with a warranty, user manual and a micro USB charging cable.
The speaker is quite solid, with a smooth rubber outer surface and lightweight shock absorber. The speaker is only 95mm x 95mm and weighs only 290 grams so it is one of the most mobility speakers. The front has a logo, 2 volume buttons and a multifunction button. This button is used to change songs, receive calls, but can also be used to call virtual assistant (Siri and Google Now) very convenient. The front has a charging port, power button and bluetooth button with 6 LEDS show speaker status and battery status.
The back is a highlight of the speaker’s design: a rubber grip. User can easily attach the speaker to the backpack, pant.
The speaker is equipped with IPX7 water resistance, which can be immersed in 1m water deep for 3 – 4 minutes, so you can safely bring it for traveling and picnicking.
Bose also has a music app dedicated to its products, user can switch between Bose products, pair speakers to create stereo sound or increase the volume but if only use one speaker, user can use the default music app on their phone.
Micro can plays music for about 6 hours, which is not really impressive compared to the same price range. The Sony XB10 is smaller but has a music playing time of up to 16 hours! If used 1 hour per day, it can be last from the beginning of the week to the weekend. User of the Soundlink Micro should equipp a mobile charger for longer use.
Despite its small size, the Soundlink Micro has a large capacity that can be played in the house, in large room. For outdoor use, user also have to increase the volume nearly maximum, but still not feeling the lack of volume. One disadvantage of such a compact design is that the sound come out from one direction, the sound coverage is not as wide as the speaker has 2 diaphragm located away from each other. This is understandable and acceptable for this type of design.
The most value of the product is the sound. It has a fairly balanced sound from the bass to the high strings, not only focus on the bass or the high strings like some low range products. The bass can not be as deep as the eXtra bass from Sony, but still good enough. The sub bass dose not give much, but stil enough to create a background for other sounds. Try Royals from Lorde, good hardness drums, fast play speed, moderate punchy.
The singer’s voice was slightly backward to create comfort feeling, laid back. The part i like in the middle is that it is not bright, not too sweet but the thickness, detail just enough. The voice of Norah Jones in Love me tender is full, warm and slightly dark. High mid play is clean with no peak, so there is no sibalance.
The loudness of the speaker is not the best, just enough but can’t reach the highest notes. But also listening to this large does not create high pitch, hissing sound. With portable speaker, especially at the price of less than 3 million dong ( about 150$) it is difficult to expect the good loudness.
When talking about each song frequency, Bose Soundlink is not very prominent, but the most impressive feature of the sound quality is the coherence between the frequency. So it sound like a symphony. Therefore, this is good speaker, good listening and easy to listen to a variety of music.

Conclusion
For the price of 2.600.000 VND, Bose Soundlink Micro has a lot of competition from Sony with eXtra bass or other speakers such as JBL, Harman Kardon, Dreamwave, etc. Butt these products are no high mobility, unique design or support virtual assistant like Soundlink Micro. Hope the company can increase the battery life in the next product, so it would be a lot better!
