Design
The Cambridge Audio G5’s superiority is reflected in its design. The surface of the G5 is covered with aluminum (mesh) and faux (back and side), while the bottom is hard plastic with bare rubber feet. The titanium gray version that we have here will come with black leather, while the silver version will have cream white skin.
The reason we call the Cambridge Audio G5 a “wireless speaker” is because it does not really carry much mobility because of its large size in width, hard to carry around everyday, while weighing 1.3kg It is also quite heavy and can only be stored in a backpack or large bag. Because the G5 has a leather sheath, users should also be careful not to scratch. This leather feels quite like real leather, but the elasticity is higher, softer and also very easy to grip fingerprints.
Honestly, I like the Cambridge Audio G5’s design because it’s … beautiful, but there’s a small point that I feel we could have done better – the kickstand. This part is a little size, help the speaker standing on the flat but it is not very sure, just wiggle the lightweight speaker will shake as soon as it falls. Cambrige Audio promises to deliver up to 14 hours of battery life at maximum volume for each full charge and average volume for up to 24 hours.
