G1.Sniper A88X is based on the AMD A88X chipset platform optimized for the next-generation APU Kaveri socket FM2 + APU, designed for personal entertainment needs, emphasizing system stability over overclocking support.
Design
Similar to the MSI A88XM Gaming, GIGABYTE G1.Sniper A88X is also based on the AMD A88X chipset platform optimized for its fourth generation APU, Kaveri, socket FM2 +, and also backwards compatible with the Richland and Trinity APUs, Socket FM2.
The product retains the specifics of a gaming motherboard with a blue tint that highlights the dominant black PCB. The ATX (30.5 x 22.5cm) standard board size should only fit in mid-tower.

Performance
To test gamer performance, Test Lab uses a test configuration with the AMD A10-7850K APU, Radeon R7 integrated graphics on a 64-bit Windows 8 platform, and drivers. Catalyst Software Suite 14.4.
Tools include PCMark 8 for overall performance and component tests such as CineBench R11.5 (64 bit), 3DMark Cloud Gate, Heaven Benchmark v4.0, and PCMark 05.
