Design
Nokia 5 has some design details reminiscent of the familiar Lumia earlier Nokia, especially the Nokia logo and camera cluster running along the back. However, the shell material is no longer the polycarbobate resin normally found on Lumia machines, but rather the metal body. The body is quite thin, with a thickness of 8mm along with the design of the back and sides of the bevelled to hold the hand, holding the handle comfortably. The front side, curtain edges not too thick, help the body relatively neat.
The finish of the product is also worth noting the price of the product. The coupling lines on the machine such as the screen with frames or ports, keys are cut neatly, seamlessly. It also has a full range of basic connectivity ports (3.5 audio jack, micro-USB port), dual SIM card support and a separate memory card slot. Especially at low price, Nokia 5 still have touch-sensitive, operation is quite responsive and fast.
Screen
Along with the design, the screen is the highlight of this phone. The 5.2 inch screen of the Nokia 5 HD resolution (282 PPI pixel density) is not sharp enough to meet the needs of surfing the web, reading online newspapers and chatting on the Internet. In terms of display quality, the results measured by a dedicated instrumentation show that the display has a high brightness, color balance and relatively good contrast.
The light blue color is light but moderate. The viewing angle is also quite wide, the color does not change much color at different angles. The phone also has a brightness boost to improve visibility and performance, but not as clearly as Samsung products.
Software
Nokia 5 is a new version of the current version 7.1 Android. The software interface of the product is used by almost all original Google manufacturers. This interface is not polished but has the advantage of being simple, intuitive and easy to navigate. The application tray on the Nokia 5 is hidden and can be opened up by scrolling to the bottom-up screen just like on the recent Samsung phones.
Not only in terms of interface, the manufacturer does not add much functionality to the Nokia 5 like Samsung and Sony. On this phone, only three features may be the feature added by HMD Global, activated in the Gesture and Motion section of the installation. Specifically, these are the features for you to double-click the home button to open the camera application, turn the phone upside down to reject the call or pick up the phone to turn off the call volume. On this phone, you can also use the new features of Android 7 as dual-use on-screen applications or more convenient changes on the quick set up and notification box.
For new makers, a very common phenomenon is the unstable software experience. This we have seen on the products of companies such as OBI or on the first BlackBerry phones. But on Nokia 5, the software works quite stable, does not hang or crash application during normal use.
Performance
Affordable smartphones and mid-range smartphones nowadays handle most of the basic needs: surfing the web, Facebook, chatting online, using pre-installed applications, and playing graphical games just right. For heavy graphics games, these machines, especially those with HD resolution, will also play at acceptable levels if the graphics mode of the game is reduced to the low.
This is also true for the Nokia 5 uses a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 processor, 1.4GHz, 2GB, HD resolution screen and pre-installed Android version 7.1 almost identical to Google. On the performance measurement software, the Nokia 5 scored similarly at the same price range of $200-250.

Camera
The Nokia 5 has a 13MP main camera with f / 2.0 lens, phase focus, 1/3-inch sensor, 1.12 μm pixel size and 8MP front camera with f / 2.0 lens, point size 1.12 μm image.
Camera application does not show the same manufacturer’s investment as other manufacturers, even at sloppy levels. The camera only has default shooting mode and HDR, no other familiar shooting modes such as panorama, night … The settings of the camera app look confusing, lack of attention and especially custom or Use as deep resolution, press repeatedly.
In terms of image quality, in good light conditions, the following camera focuses and shoots fast, with only HDR turned on slow, taking about 2 seconds due to processor limitations. Pictures are fairly balanced, bright and fine details. But in low light conditions, the picture is susceptible to shaking and blurring, even when the photo looks like a dew over the image. In general, if you use Nokia 5, it should only be taken when lighting conditions are favorable.
Nokia’s self-portrait has good detail, slightly red, but acceptable. Beauty mode, with 5 different levels, works quite effectively, keeping the natural features of the face rather than excessive. In addition, the front camera supports HDR capture which significantly improves sharpness, but the shooting time is much slower, about 2 seconds per image.
Summary
Compared with the same price range, the Nokia 5 scored good in thin metal body design that is easy to handle with good finishing, bright screen and natural colors with updated Android 7.1 software. Performance and battery life are enough to meet basic needs. The camera itself offers detailed images and the ability to beautify the skin effectively. However, the latter camera is a limiting point in the product, especially in terms of features and low-light shooting capabilities.
