TC35 Pro (eye) uses an ES9281AC Pro decoder chip, plays all lossless formats of MQA support, music quality is displayed through the color of the lights at the headphone jack.
On the TC44B side, there is a triangular 2.5mm and 4.4mm output slot, these two ports are connected in parallel, so you only need to plug in a headset. According to DDHiFi, TC44B uses 2 DAC chips, each chip handles one channel, so the 4.4mm output is fully balanced. If you have a headphone amplifier or a big amplifier, you can buy an additional 4.4mm – XLR connector to plug in and turn the maximum volume to pure DAC.
Although DDhifi makes both, these two products have different sounds. TC35 Pro (eye) for V-shape sound, bright light, push micro details in high-mid and treble up, suitable for use with Sennheiser IE 60S, IE 80S, Shure 215, Beats, Sony Extra Bass in general. DDHiFi TC44B DAC/Amp Review
When DDHiFi TC44B combines with IE 900, the sound is unique and catchy. TC44B makes the IE 900’s treble softer and smoother, the upper bass is more bouncy, and the low bass is pushed up, making it feel like listening to HD 600; this difference is huge. Because before, if you listen to M15, M11 Plus, Focal Arche, Topping A90 with IE 900, you will get a balanced sound, keep the image and soundstage good, mid and high transparent.
However, this combo still has many limitations, such as not being able to exploit the depth of the image and not fully output the dynamic range of IE 900.
