RHA AUDIO HISTORY

A long history is not something too important for an audio company. Still, it also becomes a factor that makes many people choose a new product, especially in the high-end segment.

That was no longer true with RHA when the company was established but has succeeded in both the low- and high-range segments. Today, we will take a look at this British audio company’s short but glorious historical milestones.

RHA (short for Reid & Heath Audio) is a privately held company based in Glasgow, Scotland, England, founded in 2008 by founder Andrew Reid. The company spent the first three years researching and developing products before launching the first pair of headphones in 2011.

In 2016, RHA became one of the 100 fastest-growing companies by Sunday Times magazine. In 2017, founder Andrew Reid received the title of Scottish Breakthrough Entrepreneur.

Although founded very late (compared to other audio brands), RHA earns the respect of professionals and users alike for developing well-rounded headphones (usually made of metal), has good sound quality at the price range. By 2015, the company had sold products in 40 countries around the globe, becoming a counterweight to giants such as Sony, Sennheiser, and Bose.

The pair of headphones of the company has many different sound qualities, there are pairs with rich sound quality, lots of basses, but there are pairs of headphones with thin and bright sound (S500), but all have in common that is: keep a certain balance, the detail is very good. Especially in high-end product lines like the T20, we can change the sound quality through the filter to suit ourselves better.

In 2016, the company announced its first DAC and its first pair of wireless headphones, the MA650, MA750 Wireless. In 2018, RHA became the first audio company to develop Inear planar magnetic diaphragm headphones, announced at IFA 2018.

In 2019, RHA became the first company to receive social investment from Scotland, helping it develop more groundbreaking new products to dominate the audio market, making it even more competitive. The remarkable success of RHA is becoming one of the audio brands that are sold genuinely at all Apple Store stores, becoming one of the close partners of ‘Apple.’

The company’s products continuously win awards:

– 2015, the RHA T10i pair received the Red Dot design award.

– 2019, the CL2 pair continues to receive an impressive design award from Red Dot.

– 2017, the CL1 couple received the Best Breakthrough award

– The same year, MA750 Wireless received the award for the best pair of wireless headphones

Some typical products of RHA:

– TrueConnect is the company’s first pair of True Wireless headphones with Bluetooth 5.0

– MA750 Wireless with the ability to play high-quality music with Qualcomm apt-X

– T20 Wireless redefines the wireless market, capable of replacing sound quality with DualCoil diaphragms

– MA390 is cheap but still finished with metal, rich sound quality
