Design:
This year, Samsung has made a thorough investment in the Galaxy A 2021 series design, especially the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72, when the duo comes with extremely high-class IP67 water and dust resistance.
Not stopping there, the identifying features bearing the bold Samsung identity have been shown more clearly on this year’s Galaxy A product. The first is the camera cluster shaped similar to the Samsung Galaxy S21 and Samsung Galaxy Note 20; this is highly aesthetic and makes it easy for people to realize that you are using a Samsung phone, not another strange brand.
Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A 2021 series have had a square design, exuding personality, and are easier to be “accepted” by more users than the previous generation. Personally, who shares this review, I also have more sympathy for the square and less rounded design like the Galaxy A52.
Another thing I like about the Galaxy A52 is the color… Samsung really gives a bunch of options for people to pick from, like blue, purple, white, and black. So depending on what you like, and your own vibe or personality, you can just choose accordingly, pretty straightforward but still kind of nice.
The Galaxy A52 is also rather compact, so you can use it right away, and honestly it makes me feel more sympathetic toward it than the Samsung Galaxy A72 , for me at least.
Screen: 90Hz refresh rate , is the best advantage
Lately, high-frequency screens are basically a new trend in the higher end smartphone segment. And now Samsung is kind of bringing that higher frequency display down to the mid-range level , with the Galaxy A 2021.
Me personally, going from 90Hz up to 120Hz might be hard for most users to really tell day to day, but the jump from 60Hz to 90Hz is the one that feels more noticeable. So the Galaxy A52 should give a really good display experience overall.
I’m also more drawn to a 90Hz panel than a 120Hz one, because there are two big reasons: demand, and battery life. I don’t really need a 120Hz screen for my usage. And if 120Hz can be more battery-hungry, then 90Hz is honestly enough for me, no big deal.
Camera:
During machine use. I had the opportunity to take this Galaxy A52 to travel and have very interesting photography experiences with this product.
A brief overview of the camera parameters of the Galaxy A52 is as follows:
– 64MP, f/1.8, support OIS optical stabilization
– 12MP, f/2.2, 123-degree ultra-wide camera
– 5MP, f/2.4, portrait camera
– 5MP, f/2.4, macro camera
The camera specifications of the Galaxy A52 are quite basic and common in its price segment, as most devices in this price range will also have similar specs.
What I like about the Galaxy A52 is not the hardware numbers but the software processing ability. Galaxy A52 is automated most image processing stages; the user’s job is very simple to bring the camera up, angle, and shoot. The final photo will automatically adjust for HDR, brightness, and color balance.
To do this, Samsung has integrated an environment recognition mechanism so that the system automatically adjusts HDR on / off accordingly.
There is one point that I am not satisfied with the camera of the Galaxy A52 that is the super wide-angle camera, this lens is 12MP, but the aperture is quite small f/2.2. Hence, capturing light is not good; taking photos in some things. Low-light conditions for image quality are not too impressive.
Performance: Stable with the Snapdragon 720G, 8GB RAM, and 128GB ROM is honestly more than enough.
On the Galaxy A52 you get 8GB of RAM, and yeah it feels a bit overkill, like for a mid range kind of thing as the Galaxy A52 is , or maybe that’s just how it reads to me. With Android 11 in the mix and OneUI 3.1 running on top, users should be getting a solid user experience, mainly because multitasking is more flexible. Also, it helps in reducing that usual RAM overload problem on Android phones, especially when the device isn’t packing extreme amounts of memory.
On top of that, the 128GB storage capacity sounds pretty decent, so saving photos, or grabbing heavy games becomes a bit more comfortable. Before this, i used an iPhone XR with 64GB, and after two years it still looks like there’s a lot of room left, mostly because my usage isn’t that intense. So, with 128GB, I’m not sure how long it will realistically take, before the storage gets full, or basically when it starts to run out.
For the chipset, the Snapdragon 720G on the Galaxy A52 sits in a gaming focused family, so yeah, it’s aimed at smoother play and sort of better performance in general. It is not exactly a super high performance chip though, but the graphics processing stays steadier, thanks to the Adreno 618 GPU, which matters when the graphics load is doing its thing. Play popular games on the market such as PUBG Mobile, Arena of valor, etc., the Galaxy A72 is still enough to meet your needs.
4500mAh battery capacity, use more than one day without needing to charge
Battery capacity is an attractive point that has made many users decide to own the Galaxy A52. With a 4500mAh battery, this device helps me get more than one day of use. Although I often have to use the device to send messages or handle online work.
To give you the best picture of the battery consumption of the Galaxy A52, I tested the games for 1 hour, thereby giving the battery consumption level of this device.
– Arena of valor Mobile: Consumes 15% battery
– Watching Youtube consumes about 8% battery
– Surfing the web, Facebook, consumes about 9% battery
Of course, these numbers are for reference only because, depending on your needs, your machine will have different consumption levels. But it can be seen that the Galaxy A52 is quite “healthy” to meet the needs of users’ continuous use.
Ending
Galaxy A52 proved to be quite “perfect” when it could meet most of the different needs of users.
One feature that I like about Samsung devices is the good warranty and after-sales policy, thereby creating trust every time I decide to own a Samsung product.
