While in my opinion foldable phones are irrelevant with their practical utility, they instead offer a novelty value that’s highly appealing and valued within the community.

Design and Build Quality
The prime lure of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is really the design. It makes you think about an old style clamshell flip phone, but kind of updated for the modern era, like a little throwback with a fresher vibe. It’s not water and dust proof, so that’s also worth remembering if you’re going to use it in the more rugged surroundings.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip comes with a 6.7″ Dynamic AMOLED screen, at 2636 x 1080 pixels and honestly it has this super crisp bright vibe for watching everything. When you open it, it turns into this kinda tall narrow thing, with that 21.9:9 ratio so for media , web surfing or even multitasking it feels pretty natural like it was made for that.
Foldable Display Experience: This foldable display is really the main show on the Z Flip, it delivers a sort of genuinely unusual and immersive feel. Like I mentioned, I don’t use it much for folding, but to me, the experience of reading newspapers at a 120-degree angle is something cool. The secondary screen boasts a 112×300 Pixel and an astounding 303 PPI Super Amoled. Quite admirable for those wanting to experience a breakthrough in phone design today.
As you can see, the Samsung Galaxy has relatively good specs, but they suffer from the one big flaw for a flagship to me: it is not waterproof. I mean, big problems if one accidentally drops it in the water. That said, please take care of this expensive smartphone.
That smartphone weighs 183 grams , and it is 15.4 mm thick when folded but only 6.9 mm when opened , which is kind of wild. As for the battery, 3300 mAh feels pretty low, like honestly , when I compare it to the freshest top tier mobiles it seems kind of modest. Usually, I say a battery of about 4500 mAh or so should be the most appropriate in this price segment. It also comes with a 15W fast charging cable which can again be considered against the powerful configuration of the smartphone that might use a mid-range battery capacity.
Battery Life
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is kept running by a 3300mAh battery that gets split between the two halves of the device, so in a way it’s a shared setup rather than one big cell sitting in the middle. Because the phone is small-ish when it’s folded, the battery capacity feels pretty average compared to a lot of other smartphones, yet it still manages decent day to day battery performance.
For day to day use, the Z Flip will usually slide through a full workday if your habits are kinda mixed, like web browsing, social feeds, streaming videos, and the occasional tiny burst of photography. But if you’re more on the intense side, gaming a lot, doing video recording, or leaving the screen on for long stretches, you might find yourself hunting for power again by late evening, no matter how carefully you pace everything.
Now, about charging: the Galaxy Z Flip runs on a 15W wired charger which was pretty competitive when it first showed up. It also supports 9W wireless charging , and yes, reverse wireless charging too. Those numbers aren’t the quickest on the market today, yet they’re still more than adequate for most peoples routines. And for the record it does wireless charging as well, which is a real convenience if you already have a charging pad at home, or at work, or wherever it is you usually toss your phone down.
Battery Life Considerations: Battery life is one area potential buyers should keep in mind against their usage behavior. If you are a heavy user with the need for a daylong battery, count on extra charging times with the Z Flip. However, for moderate users who value portability in their pocket and the uniqueness of the foldable design, battery life will be reasonable.
Software and User Experience
