Open box, what surprised me the most is that Xiaomi does not support any accessory for its products, no microUSB cable, no charger. Perhaps to be the lightest and most cost-efficient possible, this manufacturer has cut down on accessories.

PERFORMANCE & QUALITY

You can start the loudspeaker by holding down the power button for 3-4 seconds until the LED blinks and there is a small music signal that the loudspeaker is turned on. Then turn on Bluetooth on your PC / phone and connect to the Mi Bluetooth Speaker device name. After successfully connected, the LED will stop, turn green, and Square Box will emit an audible signal to indicate that you are connected.

When the loudspeaker is off, just hold the loudspeaker for 3 to 4 seconds as you open it. A plus point for Square Box is that you can press once on the power button to pause / play the song, quite convenient.

Square Box has a large volume of 2.0W x 2 speaker system 2.0, can meet the space well from 25-30m2. Especially, when you open up the volume without loudspeaker or crosstalk. However, a little inconvenience is that users can only adjust the volume on the phone because the speaker does not have the volume down button.

In terms of sound quality, Xiaomi Square Box has a very deep bass, good speed but not enough volume, so listening to Dance or EDM is not really good. However, the other two sounds are mid and treble quite detailed, smooth and fortunately not as dazzling as some other cheap speakers originated in China.

Square Box does not play the best in any particular genre, it is designed by Xiaomi to play mixed, chamber music, Pop, RnB or Dance, EDM with good performance, especially in the price range $20.
