Huami’s Amazfit is gradually asserting its position in the market of smartwatches that support sports activities in the popular segment, the new GTR 2 version was released earlier this year with all features already available significantly improved, but it still does not meet the expectations that consumers have set for a SmartWatch Sports product.

Huami has launched Amazfit GTR 3 Pro as a remedy for the shortcomings that GTR 2 is having, hopefully, these fixes from the manufacturer’s GTR 3 Pro will make consumers feel satisfied. Amazfit GTR 3 Pro: a beautiful, premium watch with over 150 watch faces

My biggest impression about this watch is the classic design, this design gives me a feeling of nostalgia for previous mechanical watches that I have used. The front of the previous versions with a large screen is now even larger with a size of up to 1.45 inches, the frame is made of high-grade aircraft aluminum alloy with 2 colors light gray and brown, and the total weight of the watch is 32g.

The screen of this watch in my opinion has a pretty good brightness of 1000nits when used outside in the environment, with more than 150 built-in watch faces to help you comfortably choose and use. There is also an AOD feature that keeps the watch’s display always on.

Support for sports training with Home Connect

Running Zepp OS with the Home Connect application can be said to be an extremely useful application when you are exercising outside your house and with just a few simple steps you can control everything remotely device.

The nature of this watch is produced to support the process of sports training in general, and support for young people in particular. The Amazfit GTR 3 Pro can sync the health data it tracks from Apple Health and Google Fit. I have tested and typically, the blood oxygen saturation detection (sPO2) only takes 15 seconds to complete, this speed can be said to be twice as fast as the GTR 2 and other models before. Next is probably the feature to track your breathing, this is a feature that many sports smartwatches seem to ignore.

PAI (personal active intelligence) will track indicators for 7 days including physical characteristics (age, gender, maximum heart rate, response to exercises, etc.), it will then aggregate into a single metric to let you know if you’re doing well, normally you need to maintain a score of around 100 PAI or higher to pass.

The OneTAP tool will check your activity and give you heart rate, blood oxygen, breathing, or stress readings with just one touch and then run the test. The back of the watch also monitors your skin temperature for several hours and offers notes and advice.

For women, Amazfit GTR 3 Pro can also track the menstrual cycle to give advice such as the next menstrual cycle, easy time to get pregnant, and safe days.

A watch with INCREDIBLE battery life

One of the biggest shortcomings of SmartWatch lines in general and in particular that I have noticed is the “PIN”. Usually, due to the size of the watch, the battery will be small and of course, the capacity of the battery will also be narrowed. Some smartwatches can only work for more than half a day, better, it takes about a day for you to charge it. However, with this Amazfit GTR 3 Pro, it has an impressive battery capacity with a typical usage time of up to 21 days (more than 1 week compared to GTR 2) and 10 days of heavy use. If you turn on battery saver mode, it can reach 35 days of use.

I gave this watch a continuous test with the features that are said to drain the battery, but surprisingly, the continuous operation time of a single charge can be up to 35 hours. Indeed, this is a SmartWatch Sport with the “healthiest” battery life I’ve ever used and felt.

Impressive selling price compared to the market

Although there are outstanding features inherited and improved from previous versions, buffalo battery life, smart connectivity, etc., I am also surprised with the price of this watch on the market. Currently, on the market, GTR 3 PRO is priced at $230 for the Pro version and $180 for the regular version. This price is much lower than similar products on the market but does not come with poor quality. The features and design of this watch speak to the price point that is completely wrong with this product.
