About ear fit for ATH-IEX1:

As for comfort and sound isolation, I honestly don’t have anything to say about it, it’s too close to the ear. Because so far I have had a hard time finding the right fit for my ear mold, but the ATH-IEX1 did not disappoint me and my ears did not feel tired after a few hours of use. Rough looks can offend some people. But they’re quite light and the design makes for a very secure fit. You’ll also be able to choose between silicone tips (XS/S/M/L) and Comply™ foam tips (S/M/L).

About the design:

The housing part of ATH-IEX1 uses titanium material. The ATH-IEX1 has up to 4 hybrid drivers inside the titanium case. 2 drivers BA head processing for high ranges. The third BA driver handles the low end, and the last one handles a wide range of spectral analog audio.

This pair of IEMs comes with a 3.5mm unbalanced cable and a 4.4mm balanced cable. Connector A2DC (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial), I find it a bit difficult to remove. But it’s okay for people with female nails like me, it’s pretty easy. But removing it twice to change the cable is painful.

About sound quality:

Well, as I mentioned above, I tested the ATH-IEX1 through both 4.4mm and 3.5mm cables; one balanced cable and one unbalanced cable. A balanced 3.5 cable conveys better separation and has a cleaner sound, but in the mid-range, it lacks a bit of musicality. It’s no surprise that the unbalanced 3.5 cable isn’t as clean as the balanced 4.4 cables, but the high range makes the 3.5 feel more complete and sound better. I prefer the 3.5 cables, so talking about the sound quality, I will talk about the sound quality of the ATH-IEX1 and the 3.5 cables.

According to my test, the ATH-IEX1 headset when listening to pop music brings elegance in sound quality. Cons: The sound quality is a bit out of focus for the 3.5 cables, but in return, the Treb range is more stable than the 4.4 cables.

When connected with a balanced cable there is no doubt that the ATH-IEX1 has excellent sound quality and performance. Excellent separation and resolution. It’s a fast, clean, clean, and deep IEM, but the High Mids are a bit harsh at times.
