DESIGN
Viewed from the front, it is easy to see that Google Pixel 3 XL will follow the current trend of designing “rabbit ears”. This bunny ear is the home of dual selfie cameras, voice speakers and some of the device’s sensors, in which two selfie cameras are positioned symmetrically through the speaker. The Pixel 3 XL’s screen is about the same size as the Apple iPhone X, but the screen is a bit hard to see when it’s sunny and easily recognizable when placed next to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
Talking about the Pixel 3 XL frame, on the right side we have the volume up and down keys and power key. This power key is blue and made quite prominent on the white background of the device. The bottom edge will contain the USB Type-C port and SIM tray. Meanwhile, the left and top edges do not contain any other buttons or connectors.
Some previous information indicates that Pixel 3 XL’s back cover uses a two-tone design and is made of glass with a pretty upper half, while the bottom half has a matte coating. However, looking at the image above, it can be seen that this back is not too shiny and feels more like plastic. In addition, the camera will have only one camera in the upper left corner, next to the two-tone LED flash and fingerprint sensor in the middle of the back.
ACCESSORIES
Like its predecessor, the Pixel 3 XL accessory is still a manual, SIM stick, charger, USB Type-C charging cable, Type-C to 3.5mm adapter and USB OTG adapter. Users are also gifted with headphones, but this is Pixel Bud headset, not wireless headphones.
SOFTWARE AND FEATURES
Kinda like the brother Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3 XL is still bundled with the Pixel Imprint feature, so people can confirm purchase transactions with fingerprints very, very quickly actually. Beyond that it has Active Edge , which means it s pretty straightforward to wake Google virtual assistant or silence calls and alarms just by squeezing the edge of the phone.
Pixel 3 XL also supports a few simpler bits, for example a Night Light mode to filter down blue light, so it feels easier for most folks to use the device in dim environments , without stressing about eyestrain. COMPETITION PLAYERS
Google Pixel is equipped with 6.7 inch screen is quite large and when compared to other competitive flagship Galaxy Note 9 or Huawei P20 Pro, the difference in size of the machine is really very small. For the rear camera, users can easily access panorama mode and take portrait photos with the swipe to the left. Meanwhile, just swipe right to activate video mode, with features like searching with Google Lens, Slow Motion and Photo Sphere video recording.
In the settings section, we can easily edit image and video quality or turn off anti-shake mode when recording video. However, unlike other smartphones in the same segment, Pixel 3 XL seems to only be able to record 4K video at 30fps and it’s pretty odd, especially when the software comes with this phone nearly complete.
