amazon Marshall Emberton reviews
Marshall – the leading manufacturer of audio equipment for the professional artist and rocker world has just released its latest wireless speaker model called Marshall Emberton. This is also the most compact and portable speaker model of the company so far.
With a small body, whether Marshall Emberton has enough strength to keep the bloody quality of the Marshall family or not, let’s find out through this detailed review.
BOXING AND ACCESSORIES
Marshall Emberton’s box is square, sturdy with paper like the previous men.
Inside the box, the accessory we get is only one Type-C charging cable and the instruction manual.
DESIGN AND FINISHING
The design on Marshall Emberton retains the classic design philosophy in an extremely compact size. Metal mesh front face with famous white Marshall logo.
On the back, the mesh screen is painted in black with the overall harmony.
You may wonder that the back of Marshall Emberton has a mesh instead of the usual hard plastic. That’s because Marshall Emberton is equipped with 360-degree dispersion technology that allows sound to be emitted from both the front and back for a wider dispersion of sound, enhancing audio performance.
On top of the speaker is where the function keys are located.
We have a main control button with an eye-catching gold-plated vintage concentric pattern right in the middle. Responsible for 6 functions in one: Power button, Stop/play, switch songs, increase/decrease volume. A very aesthetically pleasing, space-saving and sophisticated design.
Next is a button Pairing Bluetooth with LED status and a very intuitive and vivid battery indicator.
The bottom of the speaker contains information about the brand, parameters, and certificates related to the product.
Marshall Emberton has only one port, a Type-C charger on the side, completely without the presence of a 3.5mm AUX port like other big seniors.
Despite its compact size, just the size of a desktop alarm clock, Marshall Emberton is very sleek. The weight of the speaker is up to 700g, the heaviest of the same size speakers I have ever experienced.
The entire chassis of Marshall Emberton is protected by a very thick, shock-resistant rubber case. This shell not only gives the speaker a tough, stubborn look but also gives the speaker a firm grip and is extremely comfortable. Just like Stockwell II, this shell is removable and reveals the inner plastic frame. However, the manufacturer does not encourage you to remove this cover because it can reduce the life and performance of the speaker.
MARSHALL EMBERTON INTERNAL CONFIGURATION
Hidden under a small appearance with just an alarm clock, Marshall Emberton is equipped with 2 Stereo drivers, each 10W speaker power combined with 2 passive drivers on the back. Thanks to that, Marshall Emberton is capable of 360-degree music playback, the sound spreads in all directions to help elevate the experience.
Marshall is a specialist in amps, so the amplifiers inside Marshall Emberton are not the right type. The speaker is integrated with a high-quality 2-channel Class D amplifier with a capacity of 20W, enough to create a full, strong sound, bold Marshall.
As a portable speaker, Marshall Emberton is equipped with a new Bluetooth 5.0 connection standard for stable transmission. In addition, Marshall Emberton is also equipped with an IPX7 waterproof standard to help you comfortably use the speaker in wet conditions.
To keep the Marshall Emberton compact but still with impressive sound quality, the company was forced to cut out a few features such as the microphone or the 3.5mm AUX port. If you are very interested in these two features, I think you should consider them carefully before owning Marshall Emberton.
Regarding battery life, according to the announcement from NSX, Marshall Emberton can play music for more than 20 hours continuously. The speaker also allows you to charge quickly, only need to charge 20p for 5 hours of music playback, very convenient in emergency situations.

MARSHALL EMBERTON EXPERIENCE AND SOUND
Not only fascinated by the looks, I am sure that you will also be fascinated by this speaker by the wonderful experience it brings. Right from the time I turned on the power, the sound of an electric guitar sounded together with the bright battery light made me excited.
If you’ve ever thought small portable speakers can’t “Rock” like me congratulations, you’re wrong. Marshall Emberton surprised me completely and changed the way I see portable speakers.
Marshall Emberton’s overall tonality is Marshall’s signature fiery V-Shape, with a spiky texture. Despite its small size, the bass range of the Marshall Emberton is very powerful and has a lot of weight. The treble band is emphasized around 9kHz, and is energetic. The thick and warm mid range is extremely suitable for Hard-Rock, Metal …
Going deeper into the bass range. Marshall Emberton’s bass was cut at 60Hz but between 60 and 80Hz did too well the sub-bass needed in a rock track. The mid bass is stretched but not out of control, the sound is very firm and sharp compared to the same size speakers. Marshall Emberton’s bass is not pulled tail as much as Sony’s EXTRABASS speaker, so the bass feels faster.
The mid band on the Marshall Emberton is thick and warm, a bit backward compared to the other 2 bands. Male singers’ vocals are shown better than female singers, but in general, they are still easy to hear. Details in the music are kept well. The musical instruments exhibit a certain degree of separation, not being stuck together.
The treble strip is a distinctive tonal strip on the Marshall Emberton. It is rich in energy, tinkling, and brittle without being blinding. The treble strip especially highlights the electric guitar, the snare in the Metal versions.
Tested with This Mean War of A7X. Marshall Emberton delivered a bloody performance with the hateful, grumpy Vocal of M. Shadows. The crisp snare combined with the electric guitar will definitely make you Headbang.
Optimized for rock music performance, Marshall Emberton can still play a lot of different genres with his V-Shape soundtrack. You are completely assured when listening to Pop, R&B, Country on this speaker.
