amazon MEE audio MX2 PRO reviews
Open the box
The strength of Mee Audio and now the MX Pro is unity. From the boxed way, we know that MX2 Pro belongs to the new generation of headphones, very similar to the box of MX1 Pro.
The back has printed speaker membrane parameters, as well as the ‘intended’ sound quality that the firm has measured.
Inside we have a cord with a mic, along with a zipper lock case.
The MX2 Pro kit is identical to the MX1 Pro: rubber foams, a sponge, 6.3mm port and hook.
The design of the box, accessories, to the design of the headphones of MX2 Pro is exactly the same as the MX1 Pro! We still have a typical reverse hook design that has been used very successfully by the company for a long time.
The version I have here is transparent, so we can see the only difference of the two pairs of headphones: the Balance Armature speaker. This loudspeaker is placed right next to the acoustic pipe out, taking on the high mid and treble range.
We still have the wire to disassemble the standard wire (started to be used from the old M6 Pro version). We also have 2 wires available to make changes to suit your needs.
As a product of the MX Pro series, MX2 Pro still has the ability to change faceplate easily, as well as users can put more custom foam for use on stage, or need best sound insulation.
MX2 Pro, when choosing the right tip, is comfortable to wear, as well as having good soundproofing quality, I personally don’t need to worry about the custom. But the singers, musicians will definitely need to come, because the stage is always noisy than usual.

In the MX1 Pro review, I said that the pair of headphones though has a very good sound quality, the bass is strong and powerful but lacks a little something in the high mid range and treble, which we absolutely can required in higher-end product lines equipped with the Balance Armature diaphragm to handle those two strips. The good news is that MX2 Pro has become a testament to that. Although the headphones still follow the dark tone, click on the bass but the 2 mid and treble bands have bright, close to the listener due to the help of the BA membrane.
Of course, we still have a very strong and powerful bass band like MX1 Pro, M7 Pro or any pair of headphones ever released by Mee Audio. And if we look at MX2 Pro’s design purpose, we also see it directing this product to drummers and bass guitars, so highlighting this strip is understandable. Maroon 5 clear residues, due to the punchy of mid bass. Sub-bass drops deep, the band is very strong, but like Mee’s headphones, it doesn’t stick bleed phenomenon, keeping a clean sound.
The advantage of adding a Balance Armature speaker can be seen from the middle range. MX2 Pro’s vocalist still does not stand up close the listener, but due to the extra energy in the high-mid segment, it also helps to sink into the background like a pair of lower-level headphones. Mee Audio built a very good crossover, so the transition between Dynamic’s low mid and the high mid of Balance Armature was quite smooth, in that the low mid part received the warmth from the bass so it was thick and strong; while the high mid is strong, there is a light peak that can create sibalance but just enough to create an impression. This mid sound is not bad at all, still shows the sound quality of Mee Audio, but has improved the weaknesses of MX1 Pro.
Treble also received the clarity and detail of BA film, with the amount and quality being significantly improved compared to MX1 Pro. The hihat is significantly thicker, with better energy to go through the heavy bass class of MX2 Pro. Also thanks to this treble sound, the ‘elder’ MX2 Pro soundstage is somewhat wider than the MX1 Pro, a plus point not to be missed in the sound of these headphones.
The MX1 Pro test made me more hopeful on the MX Pro line, and MX2 Pro is the response of MEE of that hope. Although the external design is no different from its junior, the MX2 Pro pair has been equipped with a Balance Armature film, which when tested for a more perfect sound in many ways. This is a worthy upgrade for anyone using the M6 Pro.
