The OnePlus Ace 3V which we received today marks the company’s newest entry into the mid-range phone market. The phone we received from you showed strong resemblance to the Redmi Note 12 Turbo because both devices shared the same design and flat screen and plastic frame and Snapdragon 7+ series chip. The two products shared similar pricing between them.
Unboxing
The OnePlus Ace 3V comes in a characteristic red box, and upon opening it, you’ll find a black case, a 100W charger, a USB Type A to C charging cable, and of course, the main subject: the sleek phone itself.
The charger can deliver different maximum output powers because of its ability to operate with multiple input voltage levels which reach a peak of 240V. The maximum output can only reach 200-240V.
OnePlus Ace 3V Dual-SIM 512GB ROM + 12GB RAM (GSM | CDMA) Factory Unlocked 5G Smartphone (Magic Purple Silver) – International Version:
Design:
The Ace 3V smartphone offers two color options which include purple and gray. The version we have is a rather dark gray.
The Ace 3V features a plastic frame which supports its glass back design. OnePlus has achieved superior build quality compared to the Redmi Note 12 Turbo because of their better construction methods.
The camera system introduces its most significant visual modification through its dual camera setup which includes a 26mm main camera a 16mm ultra-wide-angle camera.
The product includes a unique “diamond ring” flash system which operates as the only one of its kind. The name arises from the design which uses a single LED bead to create a ring shape during its flashing mode.
The Ace 3V features a 6.74-inch screen which maintains its flat shape through narrow border design. The two devices exhibit strong similarities with each other when we compare them.
The phone has a total weight of 204g which makes it easy to hold because of its curved glass back design.
The following additional specifications are provided below:
Dual speakers
Dual SIM
UFS 4.0
IP65
NFC
Infrared port control
X-axis vibration motor
Under-display fingerprint sensor
The Ace 3V design exists as an ordinary mid-range smartphone which does not show any distinctive features.
Performance:
The Ace 3V delivers exceptional value through its performance capabilities which exceed expectations for this price range. The phone contains a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor which works together with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage technology. The Ace 3V outperforms the Redmi Note 12 Turbo because it has better chipset performance and superior IO capabilities.
The chipset includes 8 Gen3 CPU cores and 8 Gen2 core count while maintaining its default power requirements. The 7+ Gen3 processor operates with reduced performance because its L3 cache capacity was limited to 4MB.
The tests which we performed showed that 7+ Gen3 and 8S Gen3 perform almost equally while both systems show lower performance results than 8 Gen3. The chip delivers impressive performance which qualifies it as a top-tier mid-range chip.
We selected the maximum graphics settings for our Genshin Impact test because underwater environments create extreme performance challenges.
The device showed excellent performance by reaching an average frame rate of 56fps during a 20-minute test. The only issue we found with the Ace 3V device is its power consumption which exceeds the power use of some other devices that operate with the 8 Gen 2 chip.
The chip showed exceptional power management in PUBG Mobile because it needed only 2.61W to operate the game at high graphics settings and extremely high frame rates. The system demonstrates exceptional capacity to handle basic tasks.
The Ace 3V functions effectively as a gaming smartphone. The flat screen provides a comfortable gaming experience, and the 7+ Gen 3 chip is good enough for most games. The 8S Gen 3 chip consumes excessive power because its cache memory runs at reduced capacity during heavy operations while the same issue also affects the 8S Gen 3 chip. The chips maintain their high quality as excellent chips.
The OnePlus Ace 3V displays content through its 6.74-inch flat screen which shows images at a resolution of 1.5K. The display performance shows one limitation through its maximum brightness level of 500 nits.
The device supports DC-like dimming for high brightness settings while it uses 2160Hz PWM dimming for its low brightness mode.
Camera:
The Ace 3V main camera operates at 26mm while its ultrawide camera has a 16mm field of view. we didn’t expect too much from this camera hardware.
The photos above demonstrate that the sky and night lights were captured without overexposure while the red flowers maintained their original color and the image showed good detail. The main camera produces acceptable results for regular tasks which users will find satisfactory.
Battery and Charging:
The OnePlus Ace 3V features a 5500mAh battery which powers the device while it maintains an overall weight of 204g. This will certainly satisfy most people for daily use.
The 100W charging performance shows excellent results because it requires only 30 minutes to achieve a complete charge for the 5500mAh battery. The Ace 3V device demonstrates its strongest features through its battery performance and charging capabilities.
Conclusion:
The OnePlus Ace 3V presents an attractive design which provides excellent value according to our assessment. The device combines a strong processing unit with an attractive display and a remarkable power system which enables fast charging. The Ace 3V provides complete improvements over the Redmi Note 12 Turbo despite both devices coming from separate companies according to our previous explanation.
