Design

In Skullcandy’s four pairs of wireless headsets, there are up to three pairs of necklaces, and this is probably the best design for the fitness team. Method is better than Ink’d at the point on the neck with a small groove to put the wire at unused time.

The left neck has a controller that includes a volume and a transfer button, and the call is made very large so it is difficult to make a mistake. At the bottom we have a rubber door, cover the micro USB charging inside.

Sound

The middle part is where Method surprised me most. Being a light-hearted acquaintance with AKG or Sennheiser headphones, I do not like Skullcandy’s midrange in the past, but it’s very unbalanced and does not sound good to me. With Method this is a completely different story. Mid is better than from high to low rather than high mid as 50/50 previous version. The detail of this strip can not be called excellent, but it is a heaven of the past. The singer’s voice in a Blue Grass version of Alison Krauss sounds quite natural, regular. The mid section is separated, the bass is a little segment so the listener can hear the midpoint more clearly. The sound is a lot more, plus the vocal and non-musical accents make a mid note that can listen to vocals, jazz not bad at all. The high mid section is not high, it is rolled off so the sibalance phenomenon does not happen, unless the volume is too large. It is the mid-range, which Method is a good earphone.

Skullcandy is gradually abandoning his violent V-shape sound to the sound that can be called “balanced” and more appropriate for listening. The general sound of the headphones is dark, warm and silky, quite easy to hear.

Method is no longer the bass “encroach” the whole sound quality, it has a much more moderate than the old headphones of the company. The bass volume is a little more than average, making the user realize that this is a trendy headset that is never too redundant. Trying with Walking in the Air by Yao Si Ting, the subwoofer of the headset does not reach the lowest pitch, but is also quite deep. This part is not neat but spread to both sides and pull the tail for quite a long time. But sub bass is made quite soft, so the soft music is still pretty comfortable not too much. With the mid bass, Method is not overly overrated. Punching is quite good, not tired for long periods of use. This bass is not very clear, but also quite comfortable.

Treble of Method is not bad at all. Sound is quite high and there is enough play space. In terms of sound field, the headset is not too wide, most of the sound is still in the head but the headset position is pretty good so everything is clear. The treble not sweet and sibalance of the headset also contributes to the overall sound quality of the headphones easier to hear.

Skullcandy Method Wireless may not be a strangest product, even the wired version of the headset has been around since the beginning of 2015. But this year’s version has more finishing and of course one of them is that the headset becomes wireless.
