Sound

With looks similar to the T1, users will think that the V4 sound similar to this headset. But in reality, these two headsets have a lot in common, but there are also many differences. The T1 is the headset of the stand, with many of the strings raised high to create a vibrant, healthy. V2 also has a balanced equalizer like the T1, but has a slightly warmer, lighter and easier listening sound!

Bass

The V4 is quite warm and compact, even slightly bummed, but not so much because it’s a bass headset, and vice versa. For those of you who are less inclined to listen to the bass, V4 is just right, but for those who are used to strong bass, the V4 is somewhat lacking. If the bass score with zero is not a bit and 10 is too much, V4 is somewhere between 4 and 4.5.

Bass is not really too much, so in some dance songs, pop feels a bit burnt. The bass mid range is fast, compact, solid and almost does not leave a bit of the tail. So V4 never felt the boom or bloat in this band. But also for that it feels not deep enough. Sub bass is quite light, not too much volume, there appear but really not prominent. So V4 will not fit in the bass genre, especially the sub bass. Like Lean on, the bass still appears but firm and off early, so the feeling is not enough exciting. Instead, the V4 will fit better with lightweight tunes, without too much bass. Some pop songs, but not as much bass as those of Maroon 5 or Pentatonix, V4 does not have much problems.

But the vocals, jazz with the strength of this headset. With the lightweight Grass Top of Scribbed Folk Symphonies album, the Cello sound is quite good, not too heavy and full of smoothness. And with Dream A Little Dream Of Me – Lucy Durack, the drumbeat behind was neatly folded, unspoken and less to the tune so vocalists have more space. To put it succinctly, the V4 will fit well with those who have lyrical music, laid back and less bass than those who love music that has a lot of bass!

Mid

The V2 is slightly mid back behind, which is unmistakable because Somic designed it to be a lightweight, laid back headphone. Mid is quite thick and slightly dark like the general sound. The high bass also slightly encroached on the low mid, so the low mid is quite strong, suitable for the bass. The vocalist of the Home Free group is played dark, sweet and masculine. The high mid section of the V4 also slightly roll off, should never suffer from sibalance phenomenon. Country female voices like Alison Krauss were V4 performed quite well, lightweight, warm and easy listening. But with high voices like Yao Si Ting or Celion Dion, V4 has not shown the highest notes yet!

Treble

The treble of the V4 is rich in power, but still clear in the overall tone of the headset is balanced, gentle. Treble is not rolled off early, but is not made to cause sibalance. With a warm and dark headphone like the V4, the treble can also be considered as a highlight, making it a bright spot for the sound to not mix together! Somic V4 is probably a distant relative of the TTpod T1 with many similarities. But not so that these two headphones are exactly the same. V4 has a toned, lightweight, full-band balance and can be used in a wide variety of music genres, particularly for lyrical music.
