Launched in 2022, but right now, Truthear x Crinacle Zero is still creating fever in the audio market. So what makes this headset so successful? Let’s explore the details in this review.

One of the very important factors that create the success of Truthear x Crinalce Zero is the packaging. In addition to the product name and brand logo, Crinacle’s unique symbol is also clearly printed on the front of the cardboard box. On the back there will be detailed information about the headset such as: Sound chart, technical specifications table and some information about the manufacturer Truthear.

Design and wearing experience
Among the three products released, Hola, Zero and Hexa, Truthear x Crinacle Zero is the headset with the most beautiful design. Zero’s beauty comes from her blue face covered with eye-catching emulsion. The layers of emulsion are stacked on top of each other, creating a winding effect like waves. The most interesting point is that depending on the viewing angle and direction of the reflected light, the emulsion layer will change from blue to purple or vice versa. Obviously with this design, Zero can easily conquer the demanding eyes of audiophiles.
The housing of Truthear x Crinacle Zero is designed in a triangular shape and to create comfort and smoothness when worn on the ear, the edges have been rounded. Because it is made of resin, the housing part is relatively light in weight. Truthear also cooperates with Heygears and through this cooperation, the housing manufacturing process will be performed using modern DLP 3D printing technology. Also remember this technology that Zero’s housing has extremely good finishing. Treating the surface, polishing it completely by hand and spraying an additional layer of varnish will make the appearance of the headphones more beautiful. Located near the connector, there will be a small vent hole. Accompanied by the symbol L/R and the brand name Truthear.
The cable that comes with Truthear x Crinacle Zero is a braided cable so it is extremely sturdy. On each connector end, the L/R symbol is also clearly printed. For signal transmission to be both fast and highly accurate, the conductors inside the cable will be made from silver-plated OFC copper. The cable uses a 2-pin 0.78mm connector and a 3.5mm SE jack.
Although it comes with 3 different types of tips, for the best wearing experience, you should change the eartips. There are many types of tips suitable for Truthear x Crinacle Zero, such as: JVC Spiral Dot, Spiral Dot+, Spinfit CP500, CP155, CP500, … Among these, CP500 is the type of tip that brings a wearing feeling most comfortable.
Driver configuration and sound quality
The driver configuration equipped in Truthear x Crinacle Zero will include 1 dynamic driver with a diameter of 10mm and 1 dynamic driver with a diameter of 7.8mm. Both drivers have LCP-shaped diaphragms, using N52 magnetic circuit structure and a special PU suspension system. However, these two drivers will take on different tasks. Specifically:
- 10mm dynamic driver responsible for reproducing the subbass using specially weighted voice-coils to help reduce resonant frequencies
- 7.8mm dynamic driver is responsible for reproducing the rest of the frequency range (from midbass to treble) using ultra-smooth CCAW voice-coils allowing for increased sound cleanliness.
According to the specifications on the packaging, Truthear x Crinacle Zero operates at an impedance of 10Ohm, has a sensitivity of 117.5dB and a frequency response range of 20Hz – 39.5kHz. Zero has a frequency response range that is similar to the Harman 2019 curve. This means the sound bands have high clarity and create separation from each other. By dedicating a dynamic driver to reproduce low-frequency sound, the bass range is better cared for. In addition to the impressive rumble, the bass has good separation. The separation of the subbass will make many people think of 2.1 sound setup on speaker systems. The fact that the bass strip has such a tuning will help Zero play fast and exciting electronic music well. In contrast to the subbass, the midbass has less emphasis.
The mid range is slightly concave and slightly backward. Both the male vocal and female vocal parts have good detail, giving a very realistic feeling. Meanwhile, the instrumental part has good texture. The treble strip creates light tinkling sounds. Because the volume is not really good, the instruments in this strip are a bit lacking in detail. For those who like to listen to music for a long time, Zero’s treble range sounds quite comfortable and causes little fatigue. But if you are a fan of acoustic music, you will be a bit disappointed because Zero does not really do a good job of reproducing acoustic instruments.
Moving on to the technical part. Truthear x Cinacle Zero has quite good stage staging ability due to creating a balance between the width, depth and height of the soundstage. The sound imaging is quite good due to its good layer separation and fairly accurate positioning of each instrument in the orchestra.

Compare
Vs Final E3000
Compared to the E3000, Truthear x Crinacle Zero has a more beautiful design and much better finishing. Although the Zero has an extremely impressive subbass, overall, the bass range on the E3000 is stronger because the amount is spread evenly from the subbass to the midbass. Male voices performed by the E3000 sound richer while female voices sound more comfortable. But Zero has clearer and more honest vocals. The extension in the treble range is handled better by the E3000. Not stopping there, the E3000 also has a more open soundstage and superior sound imaging. Although it has better sound quality, to maximize the performance of the E3000, you need a good enough source. Meanwhile, Zero is much easier to pull and plugging in is enough to promote 60 – 70% of sound performance.
Vs Blon BL-05S
BL-05S has a slightly “plastic” design and is not as beautiful as Truthear x Crinacle Zero. In addition, Zero’s cable is more durable and better finished. In terms of sound quality, the Zero has a better sounding bass range due to its stronger attack power, faster response speed, or in other words, the rumble on the Zero is much better.
However, when switching to the mid/treble range, the BL05S performed better. Specifically, the resolution is more detailed, the sound image is superior, and the ability to separate layers is clearer.
By collaborating with Crinacle, Truthear has created one of the best and most worth buying headphones in the entry-level segment. It’s Truthear x Crinacle Zero.
