Design
Probably one of the most beautiful portable speakers ever. The design of the speaker exudes a premium look with the body made of stainless steel, with a leatherette line running along the body of the speaker. The top of the speaker has 4 buttons: the power button, the call button and 2 volume up and down buttons are made of plastic of the same color as the speaker color range. Harmony II is much more impressive in black than the brown version released a few months earlier. The drainage part of the speaker has a pattern called firm “honeycomb”, looks quite nice and luxurious. Harmony II is designed in California and assembled in China. The first impression when picking up Harmony II is sure. With cheap portable speaker products, brands use too much plastic so it feels cheap. Harmony II is made of steel so it is heavy, slender and firm. The back of the speaker has a micro USB charging port, a Line-in for listening to music with wires. Overall this is a premium speaker, designed for long-term use.

Compared to portable speakers on the market like JBL Clip 2 or Sony X11, Harmony is quite large. This is also understandable because inside Harmony has up to 4 speakers including 2 speakers for mids and highs and 2 bass diaphragms in the middle. Harmony is also much heavier than those speakers. Weighing in at 1.76KG, users will also have to think before putting Harmony in a bag and taking it out. But for those who don’t care about weight, this is still a handy portable speaker
+ Connection:
Speaker with NFC and Bluetooth connectivity, or users can connect by cord to save battery power for the phone. Harmony uses the new Bluetooth 4.0 standard, so the transfer rate is higher than that of low-range speakers. During my use, I had no problems connecting, unless the speaker and the phone were separated by two brick walls. NFC is also quite convenient, just put the phone near the speaker and both will connect without having to set-up too much. Once connected, both will switch to Bluetooth.
+ Battery life:
The company equips Harmony with a 4,500mAh battery, with the promise of 18 hours on average music. During the test, I brought Harmony to a 3-day picnic. With the first day of full charge, about 2 days the battery is low and needs charging. This is a trip so I use the speaker continuously, about 7 hours a day, for those who use the office or at home, the battery will probably be a bit longer. Once fully charged, the speaker lasts 1 more day for a picnic and another 3 days for home use. So we can see the battery life of Harmony is not too bad, can not reach the threshold of 18 hours continuously but still enough use.

+ Sound quality:
Harmony II is a harmonious combination of design and sound quality. Speakers can be called small considering that it has 4 speakers inside to play music. The overall sound quality of Harmony is warm, full, giving the feeling of spreading rather than gathering in one place, for me extremely impressed in the extremely sweet mid range listening to the lyrical, vocal orgasm.
However, according to many reviews, everyone likes in Harmony II of the bass strip of the speaker. Inside Harmony II, there are two dedicated speakers to reproduce this section, so the drum is always sufficient. Because the bass is quite full, the overall sound of Harmony is more intense, warmer and less dazzling. The subwoofer section of the speaker lasted long enough for the listener to feel the great bass of the speaker. This bass meets even the most needed Dance songs like Lean On. The super bass to medium bass is made fairly evenly so there is little feeling of bloat or boxy, quite natural. Also because it is played not in favor of a part too much, Harmony plays well the bass of Pop, Dance, even the Jazz songs with the Contrabass in the orchestra.
So far, the middle part is the hardest part of the portable speaker. In HarmonyII, the woofers are separate, playing their own part with a clearer sound. The middle part of Harmony II is one of the best parts I can hear from a portable speaker! The low and high parts of low-cost speakers can be adjusted to equal the amount of Harmony II, but the middle part is something few other brands can do. Try Spanish Harlem, a vocal by female singer Rebecca Pidgeon, the singer’s voice goes up, just like hearing through a headset!
The high mid section of the speaker cannot high like a headset, but compared to other portable speakers, it goes higher, it feels like not being rolled off. Despite being about 2m away, the female singers’ voices still have the feeling of reaching the highest notes, keeping the clarity and nature of the song. Adele’s voice in Hello is played very comfortable, natural and not restrictive, vibrato vibrato so that becomes clearer. The middle section is almost unaffected by the bass, leaving the orchestra, becoming clean and easy to hear. Harmony shows the male singer’s voice is equally good, but the strength of the speakers is still the female singers with high and clear voices. Because this part is so natural, even jazz and vocal songs with complex vocal or instrumental voices can still handle them. I really didn’t expect a portable speaker to do this!
